Am I crazy? People are always telling me that I'm insane because I'm willing to pay $1500 for a dog. They say, "But it's just a DOG!" And I'm not sure how to explain it to them in such a way that they'd understand. Argh! It is not just a dog! |
If you're willing and have the budget, it shouldn't be other people's "concern". However, it IS important to make sure the puppy you purchased is healthy, especially at that price. Have you decided on one? |
No, you are not crazy. Yes, your right, "It's not just a dog". Some people can't understand it and probably never will, but as long as you feel good about your dog that is all that matters. IMO. |
You're not crazy, just make sure you don't give that money to someone who is. Be careful when you buy a puppy and get him/her from a great breeder that you can trust. Good luck on your puppy hunt! |
My mom said the SAME thing. And now she is totally in love with Baby. When we walk in the door she googles over Baby, and says, "Oh, hi Nik." Lovely, hugh? She also says, "When is Baby coming over, I miss her?" She doesn't say, "When are you coming over?" :eek: That's okay though, b/c when I need a furbaby sitter, I send her over to Grandbitch's house. :D |

Thanks for all the warnings everyone. :) But I've done my research, and I'll probably be getting a puppy from Laura Vance, a breeder in Ohio. I hear she's very reputable. |

Nope, you most definitely are NOT crazy. For one thing it's your money to do with as you see fit. For another you're right, a Yorkie is NOT JUST a dog :D They are all Princes and Princesses and quality don't come cheap! A wise person in this forum once posted an EXCELLANT thread. (I can't remember who :() When you buy your Yorkie, whether you pay $1,000, $800, $1,500 or $5648121164........ always add $1,000 to the first years expenses for vet bills etc....... Now tell them how much a Yorkie is and watch them all faint!! LoL!!! :D Welcome to YT!! |
