I love our vet! How many vets call back to see how furbaby is doing? Hi everyone, As some of you know Cookie was hospitalized. Thank God his blood tests came back ok. I mentioned to my vet that Cookie HATES his Science Prescription L/D diet. He has to have low protein. Anything with low protein is filled with rice,corn and is just plain blah taste! While Cookie was at the vet's ,she checked with a vet nutritionist that has recipes for homemade dogfood for dogs with any liver problems.I did have to buy all the vitamins and not substitute anything.I was nervous and worried that he would not eat it! Well I was so happy when he gobbled it up.He's eaten it for two days now and has not vomited and eats every last tiny piece of food! My husband was home and the vet called while I was out. She called to see how Cookie was and to know if he ate anything.He told her that Cookie was doing so good and loved the food.When I get home and my hubby tells me that the vet called to see how Cookie was, that really made me happy that she took 1 minute out of her busy day to calls us back the next day. My vet does the same. Always calls to see how we're doing. I love that. It makes me feel special, not just someone coming in the office to hand over $$.My own doc. never calls to see how I am. LOL |
My vet is amazing...I recommend him to everyone...I have his beeper number and cell number...he will meet you in his office in the middle of the night because he hates his patients to go to the ER vet. He always calls to check up and last year I travelled to Scotland before a test result had come in and he called me in Scotland to give me the results. When I offered to pay for the call he wouldn't take the money....he is really remarkable. Best of all,he seems to really love Vivi and she loves him, too. :) :thumbup: :thumbup: :thumbup: |
My vet calls to check on my babies too (Zeus and my cats) and it means so much. It is nice to know that they aren't forgotten when they leave the office. :) |
Mine will call to. i have given candy to the staff because they are always so good about getting me in in an emergency. |
Mine calls too. When Chachi had diahrea recently they called every day untill it cleared up. |
yuppers they always call the next day and the day before to make sure we're still on. and whenever we come to the office they know him by name (I work with them inside my Petsmart) and if I have a problem I just mention it to them and they usually say bring him in and I say ok and they'll tell me "Ok, I'll let them know to expect Tigger." I love that they know him by name. Maybe it's because they've watched him grow, or it could be from my bringing him for my being an overprotective mommy in the beginning. but I love that they know him by name. it makes me feel special. And whenever I'm working the nurses always ask how he's doing. They're wonderful. |

My vet calls too! I just LOVE my vet!!!! She gets so excited when I bring Gracie in, even if it's just to say Hi!!! |

Good Job Cookie! First of all... Good JOB Cookie for eating all your food and taking all you vitamins! You are so smart to know what is good for you! And how special you must be to have your doctor call you at home to see how good you're doing! Jazzie & Jewel's Dr. call to check on them too! It makes your mommie & daddie feel so much better to know so many people, yorkies and Doctors care about YOU! Soak up all the happiness (that medicine that you don't have to eat and doesn't require a shot) and keep on getting stronger! It's ALL ABOUT YOU! |
I'm so glad he's doing better !! My one vet where I used to live will call also...I still go there because of how great they are with both my girls and me. |
Mine always call and are just terrific...staff too. We have been on a first name basis for quite awhile and it is easy to tell when people have a true passion for what they do. I am extremely grateful for the dedication of all the vets in their practice. |
Yes my vet always phones to check! :D My last one didnt call, he never gave a monkeys which is why i changed. |
