I read somewhere that if you don't allow them to sleep with you they respect you as the Alpha.

My late yorkie slept with us or on an afghan on the cedar chest at the foot of the bed. They love afghans.

Oliie is still too little and our bed is so high, I'm afraid she'd try jumping off and get hurt.

Absolutely! He is never away from me, either on my lap or following me around never letting me out of his sight.

Nope! We have a large German Shepherd who sleeps in the bed. So Diesel sleeps in a playpen in our bedroom. He loves to cuddle up to the Sheperd sometimes and I am scared that between the Shepherd and us he might get rolled over on and get hurt. In the AM I take him out very early and then in after that he will get in the bed and cuddle. I waited to long and paid way to much money to have my little one get hurt. But don't think for a min that he because of that he isn't spoiled. He is rotten! He is only 7 months and it didn't take long at all.

This question has been posted before and I was one of the owners who never let mine sleep with me. There was no way I could get a good nights sleep. Then, when my husband passed away, they started to share my bed and cuddle. Now, I'd be so lonely without them it is scary. So, never say never, we never know what the future holds.

Eleanor doesn't sleep with me. She's so tiny that I'm afraid she would fall out of bed or get smooshed. Plus we think my boyfriend is very mildly allergic to her.

Sheila sleeps with me every night. I do worry about rolling over on her (3 pounds) but most nights it's just me and her on a King size bed. She has a ramp to get up and down and the one or two times times I have rolled over on her she let's me know. On nights when I have a restless sleep she goes into my study and sleeps in her bed there.

Well let's see I thought that having Lexi join the family Harley would learn to sleep in the playpen with her but noooooooooo! Harley can't sleep alone he has to sleep in the bed. Lexi seems to do just fine in her playpen. I have it right next to me just in case she needs something in the middle of the night.

They let me sleep in THEIR bed..lolol. I love the reactions I get. That's me with 'The gang' having a Sunday afternoon nap.

I used to think it was gross to sleep with a dog but ever since the first night when Debbie cried so loudly, I put her in my bed and she's been there ever since. She usually starts off in her doghouse but after I turn my lights off, she'll come in my room. I hear her little legs climbing up the steps to the bed. It's so cute. On days when I have to get up and my son stays home she usually goes into his room and sleeps in his bed.
