New Puppy Question Im going to be getting my puppy next weekend, and I have to travel some to get her.. My question is what should I take with me on the way to get her? Any suggestions will be great. Thanks :) |
Yay! I bet you can't wait. How far do you have to travel? I think the most important thing to bring is Nutri-cal, and some water. A blanket would also be nice to comfort the puppy/keep it warm. Both times I picked up a Yorkie I brought kibble, a sweatshirt, a harness, a leash, a blanket, water & bowls, Nutri-cal, etc, and hardly used any of it! LOL! Better safe than sorry though. |
Take a friend!!! Take a box with some soft towels - some may get wet or soiled - and a friend that can hold and cuddle your pup while you drive. Your little guy may sleep well in the box most of the way home, but it certainly might love being held also. You need to have water - some food (Gerber's Chicken Stix) should do for the ride home. Good luck! --- and drive carefully! Carol Jean |
Maybe you can ask the breeder. Some breeders give a package of stuff... sample of food, blanket etc!! so you want to ask them what you should bring when you pick up the pup! |
Be sure to take a crate with you to bring her home in. :) |
Paper towels for cleaning up any messes that may happen along the way and baby wipes are useful also or some water. Plastic bag to throw out anything soiled. Hopefully your baby does good in cars and doesnt get car sick. As mentioned nutri-stat or nutri-cal. GOODLUCK! Forgot to mention a few puppy pads, good to put under your puppy and easy to change. |
