He Is SO Greedy My 17 1/2 week old Yorkie, Gizmo, is so greedy. My Shih Tzu ,Bear, is 5 1/2 years old and 3 times the size of Gizmo. Gizmo takes every thing away from him. You give both of them the same thing, bully bones whatever, and Gizmo takes Bears away from him. No matter what Bear picks up, Gizmo takes it away from him. Bear looks so pitful, but doesn't do any thing to Gizmo. Do you have problems with this with 2 dogs? |
Sounds so typically Yorkie to me. LOL Right now they are still getting to know each ohter and Gizmo is still a baby in the I want it, it's mine! phase. |

I have two male dogs ... Oz my 7month old Yorkie and .Poppy my male chow mix 9 years... I have the same problem ... Poppy is about 68 pounds OZ 5 pounds ...unbelievable how much of a little bully he can be lol .. Poppy stands his ground about every other time it happens ...mostly he just waits until Oz is done with the toy and then he completely destroys it .. leaving it in shreds ... I worry about Oz getting hurt rough-housing with such a big dog who is clearly jealous of him ... what I usually do is praise the big guy when he gets a toy burgled from him .. this seems to be helping him understand that giving in is a good thing sometimes. |
Boys................ We have two Yorkie boys. Dudley is 4 1/2 yrs old and 5lbs. Dinkey is 1 yr 3 months and 7lbs. Dudley is the Alfa, but Dinkey is bigger.......so he always trys to take things from Dudley unless Dudley really gets made and snarls, growls, snaps and puts Dinkey in his place. We let him do it because Dinkey needs to know that Dudley rules. It doesn't ever get so bad that we have to jump in. I always buy two of everything to help with the disputes..... :) |
