Have you visited a different house lately where the floors might have new interesting tidbits on them? Taken her on walks where she may have eaten something on the ground? I am asking b/c I have been through this so often with Shelby. Now it seems to happen after we visit a different home. Last week we were on vacation and I was very specific with the rental agency about cleaning the carpet BEFORE we came b/c I knew Shelby's history. She still managed to find enough to make her hurl twice early the next morning. Sometimes when her tummy is upset I let her lick an ice cube instead of giving her water. Plus a tiny bit of food, just to settle her stomach is a good idea. I hope you didn't have anymore episodes today and you don't need to make a visit to the vet. |
viral infection My three yr old was like that about three weeks ago. After he continued to throw up, I took him in the next morning to the vet. They looked at everything and gave him IV to rehydrate him, but all we could come up with was viral infection. They did give me medicationt to help the upset tummy and it kept him from throwing up. He finally was better in about four days. He did this as a baby, but we found out he could not tolerate dog food with a high content of corn. We switched him to a different food and he did better. Hope she is feeling better soon! |
She did great all of yesterday. I gave her little bits of cottage cheese with chicken every 4 hours and she held it and digested it. She pooped once at like 7 pm but it was mostly runny and some solid, then pooped again at 8 pm. Poor baby had an empty tummy all day saturday so I assumed she would get diahrea. She woke up this morning at 5 am and threw up a a quarter size of bile. But I gave her a breakfast (tiny one) at like 730 before work for me. I have someone checking on her but I'm hoping this thing will pass soon. I don't know what it could have been from but she is playful and active as always, so I'm trying not to worry too much. |
Her tummy was just upset probablly. Kelsey threw up last night and it was like that..but she's also taking medicine right now b/c of her spay so that may have something to do with it..also she used to throw up a little in the car when she was a baby...and it was yellow-like you described. I wouldn't worry. Just keep a close eye on her. |
Aww poor baby...I hope your baby feels better too, and I'm glad her Spay surgery is over :p |
