Puppy's Hair ..are there different types??? I'm pretty confused as I have seen SOOO many different yorkie puppies and I am wondering about this. I've seen alot of yorkie puppies that at 7 weeks or 8 weeks already have very fluffy hair ? Then I see the ones that have very smooth hair at around the same ages? Does it all eventually become fluffy or are their some that stay with the more fine ahir. I cant seem to tell if this is a progression that they will all have at some point or is it that some of them have fluffy hair as a puppy and some have the straight smooth hair that will not get fluffy . I hope this wasnt too confusing ,,I almost confused my self.lol :D |
Fluffy coats are not the desired coat in a Yorkie per the standard. Many pet owners think it is cute to have puppies that look like "little bears" but as the dog becomes adult, that soft, wooly coat is frequently difficult to care for. It mats and always looks as if it needs to be groomed. If you are looking for the standard coat, I would advise you educate yourself about the breed standard by checking the YTCA site or any other site that contains the accepted breed standard. But a pet is a pet and if you love the dog, go for it. |
Ok will do. Thank you |
