I Can't Stand It, She's Crying Alot. I just brought Ruby back from being spayed and I did ask for her to get pain management treatment during and post surgery. She is crying so much I can't stand it. She must be in excrutiating pain. I feel hoorible. Can't wait till all this is over. :thumbs_do |
sorry, you did the right thing to spay her. try just cuddling her or giving her a bully stick to distract her. she will probabley be better by morning give her a hug for me! |
Ah poor Ruby. My female shaked and acted as if she were in pain the night I brought her home but was okay the next day. Did they give you pain meds for tomorrow? |

Oh no...that's awful...I know Cheri was still numb for hours after her surgery then I gave her some pain meds...have you given her anything yet ? I would and see if it helps her...bless her heart - that has to be so hard hearing her crying.... I bet she's much better in the morning....but you're in for a long night...Hope she feel much better after a good nights sleep |

I will pray that she feels better soon. |
The same thing happened to my Cece and she was in pain for weeks, that's why i chose not to spay Brownie...... Hope your baby gets well soon..... |
Oh poor baby! My pom cried for 2 days after I had her spayed I took 2 days off from work to stay with her. The vet said she was very sensitive to pain and gave me a pain pill for her. For some reason I don't think they routinely gave pain meds to them after spaying them 9 years ago? |
A cool cloth on her incision might give some relief. BUT, DO NOT SPARE THE PAIN MEDS!!!!! For a hundred years we in the medical field waited til a patient was in severe pain to give meds. Now we know that pain slows down the healing process as it effects the immune response. So, hydrate her, give her NutriStat and do not keep her too warm with lots of covers. She will do better tonight than her daddy will. |
