Bow Trouble  Ok need some advice on this too. I am about 5 to 6 weeks away from getting my new baby. I have another question, How do you keep the bow's in their hair? I had the mama yorkie to the new baby! I got her for birthday a few years ago and I worked so much I had to let my mom take her. Anyway, I could not ever get her to wear a bow in her hair. I would buy her all these cute little bow's and she would snatch them out and chew them to pieces. What do you do to get them to leave them alone? And did you keep bows in their hair from day one or did you start after they got a little bigger? I just know that Reesy (the mama) refused to have anything in her hair. |
A lot of times, they get used to the bows, it takes a bit of time, but the more you have the bows in, the more they will get used to it and accept it. Congrats on your upcoming new baby! :) |
 Thanks for your input I just remember how hard it was to get those littl tiny bows in Reesy's hair and they would look so cute for about a second and then she would rip them our and chew them up. Little Brat!! But I guess that was just her way of telling me she didn't like them. LOL!! I am sure gonna try again with my new baby hopefully she will like having bows in her hair. They just look so darn cute when they have them in!!!! |
Maybe you should just try putting a band, in her hair until she gets used to it so she can't tear up an expensive bow. When she gets used to the band then you can add the bow |
That sounds like a good idea. I tried using cheap ones in Reesy's hair I even had cute little clips. But nooooo, she would not let anything stay. I just wondered if anyone else had the same problem with their yorkie? I finally quit putting the cute ones in and just using clips to keep her hair out of her face. She would go hide from me and find a way to get those out too. I will try really hard to get my new baby used to the cheap ones first and then get her some new cute ones. :aimeeyork |
i figured it out!!! ive been starting the bow thing since i 1st got her...and i realized why she doesn't like it and keeps takin it off. Diva is about 11months old..and she is quite small 3.5 lbs, and her hair is very thin. Ive seen yorkies with thiker hair and for that reason i can see y they can have their bangs put up. So i let her bangs grow to put back, but for some reason she does not like her bangs to be pulled back. So i cut the fine hairs infront of her eyes....and instead i pull back her hair on the top middle section and it does not bother her at all. and use an elastic thats coated with material so it doesn't pull and irritate the hair. I get my bows for free from *build a bear workshop* they r light and easy to wear ;) |
