Sleeping and potty training arrangements... I am bring home our little one in three weeks and i am at lost as to how do the to the sleeping arrangement... I have a 12 yr old Llaspo... so i want to keep both dogs apart until our pup has all her shots and is safe from Parvo Do i get a porter/crate for sleeping and put the wee wee pads in a corner near the porter... or Do i get an ex-pen and put a soft bed to one side and the a wee wee pad to the other??? also... How often do they go potty (our baby will be 9-10 weeks when he comes home) Any advice or suggestions would be appeciated... I am getting so very nervous... I am so afraid of not doing this right... |
I would do the xpen with a bed and pee pads. That's what I do and it seems to work great! |
I put my pups in a crate at night.... Some people like crate training and some don't so it would be your choice but that's how I've did it for my pups. If their in a crate at night then it helps with them learnign to hold their bladder through the night. The rule of thumb for pups in a sleeping crate is that they should have enough room to turn around in, but not able to walk around alot in them. A dog is not suppose to want to pee in their bed so it keeps them from peeing in their crate. If it is to big then there could be accidents.... JMO Crystal |
