Anybody else's dog against eye makeup?
 
Susan is totally deadset against eye makeup. She licks off almost as fast as I can put it on. It's like she thinks it's her job to get it off me. I don't think she just likes the taste. I think she thinks she accomplishing something, but I could be wrong about that. Other makeup she could take or leave. Anybody else have a dog with this scruple?

I don't wear makeup so I don't have that problem but that sounds really funny!! She is just trying to tell you don't need make up to beautiful!!!

Schatzie or Ransom have never seemed too interested in my face makeup.

SusansMom -- I think they do like the taste - plus they love to lick anything off of you that they can.

Both my dogs go nuts when I put suntanning lotion on my legs. I actually have to put a blanket over my legs to keep them away - same with any other part of my body, arms, face, etc.

And they like other lotions and makeup also.

A lot of our lotions, etc. smell sweet - so maybe they taste sweet to our dog.

Vivi hates lipstick...she associates it with my leaving because I usually put in on right before I leave the house...She goes crazy and starts barking at me...if I pick her up she licks it off. :)

Well whenever I hold Jewels she licks you in the face so If I had makeup on she would lick it off.

I had to laugh.

I'm sure my dogs don't "hate lipstick," but any morning I go in the bathroom and fix my hair and put on makeup, they know I'm getting ready to go to work. And, I'm sure they don't like that!

I don't have a problem with eye makeup I don't wear it too much, but Bugaboo loves chapstick. When he sees me put in on he wants kisses! :kiss2:

Mitzi likes to lick off my hand cream. I stupidly left the lid near the end of the small table and she ran off with it. I found her licking the small bit of cream left on the top. She also licks it off my hands if she can get near them when it's fresh. LOL!

Mine probably don't know what I look like WITHOUT eye makeup...LOL

Now, Scout loves to lick off my favorite bath & body mint flavored lip gloss. I have to remember NOT to pick him up if I'm wearing it...he's an animal!!

Bailey goes nuts to try to lick off lotion.
But when he was a pup, I MUST have dropped an eyeliner pencil, well, he found it , When I found him under the bed, he had already ate half of it.
Not thinking,, I took him to my friends NEW house WITH NEW LIGHT GREY carpet.... ( see where this is going) So I hear this gurgling sound, by the time I realize it's him, he let LOOSE, :eek: , Pooped all over.. I was SO sick abt it! My friend was cool about it,and got out the carpet scruber,and we got it all out, but one little spot.. :(
So I can contest to the fact that Bailey likes eyeliner... it just didn\'t like him for too long.
