I have read threads that said nutristat is better to use then nutrical. Do you know where I could get this?

I use NutriStat and Lilah LOVES it! Yes, it's a paste.

How do you give your pup the Nutristat? Do you just let them lick it off your finger? Or do you put it on a treat? :confused:

I've never given Nutristat, but I did have to give Bridget some Nutrical for the first time the other day. She wouldn't lick it off my finger, so i just opened her mouth and smeared it in there. Kind of a gooey mess, but I was desperate. Other folks here have used it a lot and could probably give some advice on administering it as well.

I usually let them lick it off my finger. You can also put some on the area just below their nose. If it that doesn't work and it must be given, open the mouth and insert. The difference between Nutristat and Nutrical I believe is very minimal. You would probaly have to compare ingredients. :dribble:

It says on the tube to put some on their nose and have them lick it off. But Baby LOVES the taste of Nutrical, so I never had to do that. What I did do before is mix some Nutrical into her water or food to make her eat/drink when she was little. :)

The only thing I found so far is that Nutrical is one dollar cheaper. I'm still looking for the ingredients. :p

Pixie LOVES it and will just take it right out of the tube. I just squeeze a bit up and she licks it right off!

Nutri-stat is a liquid that is great for tiny pups who can not lick a paste. I use it for neewborns..BUT it is very bitter and getting an older dog to take it is not easy..I use in emergancies only..it goes into the blood stream faster then Nutri-cal. I also give it to a mom in distress.

Well this confuses me because I use Nutri-Stat and it is a brown paste and can't be bitter because Lilah loves it!
