people really need to spay and neuter their pets so this does not happen. yes it is a cute puppy but where my husbands fathers family lives they use mutts as target pratice. sorry just think the pet population really should be more under control. hope it finds a good home with more resonable parents than it's parents had :(

My favorite dog other than my yorkie is a labradoodle. Labrador+Poodle=labradoodle. They're HUGE. They're like big wooly bears.

i agree that the pet population should be under better control . . .
BUT population control should NOT mean "just kill all the mutts" or "only purebreds live"
mixed or purebred, it's still a loving animal and deserves a life.

*that's just my opinion, sorry*

I wouldn't think that would be possible either... The dog would've died if the female had been the yorkie, there's no way she'd have been able to birth such large puppies... People really, really need to fix their pets :mad:

Preventive Control or Controlled Breeding?
 
I beleive it's called preventive measures through spaying and neutering? What about controlled Breeding not just bad breeding! Do you guys know what the current population of dogs and cats are in your local Pound/Rescue. I know that situations and circumstances change but it's a Life long committment. I'm sure all dogs are cute regardless if their mixed or pure breeds, but who is the responsible intelligent being here? :confused:

we were talking about population control. someone said . . .

don't just run around shooting "mutts" just because they're mixed.
get them fixed is all i'm saying.
no reason to kill them.

spay and neuter animals, don't kill them. :)

Needless to say, Sandy is a "mutt" - I love her so much.

mutt pure breed camel/guniea pig mix no matter what it is it deserves a home and to be loved YES people should spay and neuter there pets i believe in it strongly but sometimes people are stupid or it accidently happens what are you gonna do about it nothing its not ur pet all you can do is offer ur advice so what ever the animal is its still an animal it deserves a place in someone heart !!!!!!!!!!

Yorkies are just too much, some months ago a found a newspaper article of a case that a 5lb yorkie "hooked up" with a 110lbs rottweiler and had 2 puppies...they are just incredible:) I agree that we should be carefull and spay/neuter our pets...but what some people don't think that a very small dog can breed with a bigger one...i visit a forum of all breeds that they had a case that a golden retriever bred with a maltese (just as a note...the maltese was the female..)the owners never suspected untill they saw 2 puppies in the maltese's bed....thank God she had no problem with labor...

That is incredible. I am trying to be really careful with Stewie because I am never sure when he is going to be capable of getting my boyfriend's two unspayed Maltese pregnant. Good thing they want nothing to do with him... little snobs.

ok to make my self clear. i find it hard to take that in the back woods where my husbands family is from that they kill dogs and cats. I DO NOT THINK THAT THIS IS RIGHT. THE REASON THIS GOES ON IS TOO MANY PEOPLE ARE NOT GOOD PET OWNERS. I HAVE A MUTT AND A YORKIE AND A BERNESE. I ALSO FOUND MY CAT AS A KITTEN IN A DUMPSTER AND SAVED HIM. I LIKE MUTTS AND PURE BREEDS MY POINT WAS THAT THIS SHOULD NEVER HAVE BEEN ALLOWED TO HAPPEN. ASK THE ANIMAL CONTROL HOW THEY PUT DOGS AND CATS TO " SLEEP " YOU WOULD THINK TWICE ABOUT LETTING YOUR UNSPAYED AND NETURED ANIMALS RUN AROUND. I AM A ANIMAL LOVER AND DO NOT WANT ONE MORE ANIMAL TO DIE BECAUSE SOMEONE HAD AN UNWANTED LITTER. SORRY BUT THAT IS MY THOUGHT ON THE SUBJECT.
