Monkeys Need Housing in Central NY - HELP PLEASE! I am going away for work Sunday-Thursday to Salem, MA. I had planned it all out and long story short the woman who was going to stay in my apt. with Simon and Hallie cannot. 2nd option was to board them at the same place they attend daycare so they would be supervised and know the people. Called them today and they are booked with this being a holiday weekend. The training for work is a training that I need to further my career. Obviously if I cannot go I cannot go but would really like the opportunity. My nearest family member is 14 hours away and I have no friends that could help me out. Does anyone know of any pet sitters in Central NY? I am willing to drive them a fair distance if the care is superb. I have never left them so I'm having anxiety attacks with how my planning has fallen apart. Thank you! |
Bless your heart! I'm sorry your plans didn't work out. I'm sure someone will be able to help. We would be more than happy to help you if we were closer! |
I want to do it!!!! I would love to keep Simon and Hallie!!! What about a working farm vacation .... you know kinda like a Yorkie Dude Ranch. Chattie, Chizzie, and Peppy can teach them the ropes of herding the herd of minis, and keeping the barn cats down at the barn. Oh please..... MOM..... please let them come and visit! |
if brownie wasnt a brat they would be welcome at my house :( |

I wish we could. :( but 4 dogs? My dad would lose his mind. Good luck! |
Awww kim, im so sorry your stressed! I wanna kick that little *bleep* for screwing up your plans. I really hope you're able to find someone to stay with them cuz Siri is looking forward to meeting you...if worse comes worse, is absolutely not possible for them to come with you? best of luck and keep me posted! |
I can take them! I'll take them!!! I live in Central NY and will treat them like royality and keep them safe. I had a yorkie who passed in August and am waiting for my new one so I have an empty house right now. I am VERY trustworthy! suzie |
You are all too kind to the monkeys! I forgot to reply here but everything has worked itself out and the monkeys will be spoiled rotten and safe while I'm gone :) Now, me......well I might not do so well but they will be fine :) |
I'm glad everything worked out!! Too bad you're coming on Sunday - there's a Yorkie Meetup in Boston on Saturday. That's definitely would have helped with your Yorkie withdrawal!! |
Bring them babies to Brooklyn!! LOL!! I am glad everything worked out...But know they are always welcome to stay in Brooklyn...Their barks might sounds a lil funny after they are here a bit, cause you know our BROOKLYN accents and all..But they will be safe and loved!! LOL!! Enjoy!! Fran |
Fran, I swear one day I am going to get in my car and come see you :) Thank you for the nice offer, and the funny barks......that's allright with me :) |
SimionAndHallie - I think you need to go to your meeting. Why don't you ask your vet or call a few vet's offices and see if they can recommend a good place/kennel to leave your dogs at. I have a friend that runs a kennel - the dogs don't get one-on-one attention every day all day. They are kept in separate facilities, kept clean, and are well fed and cared for. There are two separate dog runs. All the dogs she keeps are up to date on their shots. She visits the dogs often and checks on them constantly. Their owners come back to clean, well fed dogs that are sooooooo happy to see them. Of course! Nothing is like having someone watch them in your own home or leaving them with a friend or relative -- but a good kennel should be fine for your short trip. Try not to miss your meetings - Carol Jean Good luck! |
Texas isn't that far - I would LOVE to babysit....why does it HAVE to be NY ? :D Glad things worked out and that was such a nice offer from yorkieskater and Fran.... |
