Anything else would be appreciated. when he chases us he bites us when he tries to catch us how can we play with him so he wont bite? |
I would do a search for all the threads on Clicker Training. There is some really good and useful info on their. I also believe the website is www.clickerlessons.com. As far as the him bitting you...I have always been told to pull away and give hims something he can chew on...bone or toy. Good Luck!! |
You can check the care and training info posted on my website www.sylvanyorkies.com for methods I have used successfully on my dogs for years. |
Some people on YT have taught their dogs to ring a bell when they want to go outside. I'm sure you would have to start that now by ringing the bell every time you take them out and when/if they ring the bell on their own take them outside right away every time. I wish I would have done that !!! My Dori learned sit, down, and come all at 12 weeks. But we haven't taught her anything else since then except "come" and "no". She still is not potty trained and she is 5.5 months old! Some people teach them to play dead! |
Clicker training is great! I am going to start with Eleanor as soon as she gets here. Some tricks are great just for fun. You can teach them to pick up their toys, hide, go fetch people in your family. It's really cool! I think that the most important for any dog to know though are sit ,stay and come. These are the best for safety's sake at the least. |
Well - while your little guy is a pup - teething - he's going to be biting. You can't stop that. I can tell you that my pup at 6 months old has almost quit biting completely ---but, please know that he drove me crazy for a couple of months. We just have to have patience and live through this stage. Good luck! Carol Jean |
