Need a good yorkie Shampoo!!!! This is my problem, my 2.5 year old yorkie has wavey hair and my 1 year old was long silky hair, if I don't bath them :animal36 twice a week they look nasty, and I was reading in a magazine this weekend I'm not subpost to bath more then once a month. THey hate that inbetween spray stuff. Got any ideas... I have tried everything that Petsmart has and don't like any of that.. Please help |
I use C&C for Princess. Here's a link http://www.chrissystems.com/system_kits.htm Works great on her, and smells really good too. :) :) :) |
I also use CC systems.......Great stuff and I love it, expecially for the cottony coats...Works wonders. |
Which kit do you use? The one that isn't for a particular color? Or the one for dogs requiring a gold treatment? Thanks :) |
My groomer advised me to use baby shampoo if you wanted to bath often,he smelt just like a baby and made his hair loverly and soft. :) |
I have the same question, what color system do you use, I would like to try this out and see how it works since I too have been in the market. I'm tired fo GroomMax. |
I wash my dogs every 2 wks. I use an Oatmeal shampoo. Plus where I live it is very dry. :animal36 |
Real Shampoo? I give Luci a bath every 7-10 days. I'm also looking for some new shampoo and conditioner. I've used oatmeal shampoo and conditioner because it's good for her skin, but it doesn't leave her hair feeling very soft. I didn't realize I could use baby shampoo. It's ok to use regular baby shampoo? Or should it be dog specific? |
I use C&C too! It does work great. |
I use Buddy Wash from Cloud Star. This is a wonderful product with Lavendar & Mint and other natural herbs & oils. It has aloe vera and it is great for deodorizing, moisturizing and rejuvenating. It has no chemicals or additives. I think the mint and lavendar helps relax the dogs during bathing. This stuff feels wonderful on my hands and the dogs look great!! They also have conditioner, and a spritzer I just love! Here's a link to Cloud Star (my dogs love their healthy treats - Buddy Biscuits - we do the sweet potato ones) They have free shipping if you spend $50 www.cloudstar.com :aimeeyork :aimeeyork yorkiesmiles |
I just bought the C.C (Chris Christensen) Day to Day shampoo and the Ice on Ice leave in conditioner for Dori, she has cottony hair and I love it. I think it would work good for any type of hair. I shopped around on the net, and I think the best place to buy it from is Amazon.com because they had the same price as most other places ($7.00 and 10.00 at Amazon and I did see them elsewhere for up to $13.00) and they have cheapest shipping charge and you can use pay pal which I think is safer to send $ with. A lot of people on YT also use Bless The Beast products. Good Luck! |

Where can I get Bless the Beast, I love that, I first got it at a auction and then could never find it again.... |
Where can I get Bless the Breast, I love that, I first got it at a auction and just love it. Let me know. Thanks Karen |

Again...I've seen this thread a million times and i am still coinfused. Who uses what kind of cc on the cottony coats? Plus at what age can you start cc? |

Bless the Breast OMG :lol tears I can't stop laughing. I wanna know where to buy that too for me!! :lol tears :lol tears :lol tears :lol tears |
Most everyone on her that I've read that uses CC use the "Day to Day" Shampoo and conditioner. Everyone (which is quite a few people on here) that uses CC also uses the "Ice on Ice" leave in spray conditioner by CC. It really helps with the brushing out of their coat. Although I have read a lot of threads where people suggest "Bless The Beast", "Plush Puppy", and I forget the names of others. Maybe it would help better if you did a "search" under shampoo. :) |
Shampoo~ C~C is Excellent. I bought the Day to Day starter kit. Very impressed. Lasted a long time with weekly shampoos for one "Chorkie". Just turned a year old and weighs 11 pounds. She looks just like a Yorkie. Now I have two "Chorkies" (second one looks just like a yorkie as well but only 2.8 pounds at 18 months). I ordered the full size bottles. Highly recommend!!!! |
I don't get it, did I affend you in some way. Sorry if I did...... |

I love the smell of CC systems. I have noiced that Lexi looks like she has wind blown hair after 3 days. I wash her every 10 days or so. I ordered Petsilk & I really like it a lot. I bought tearless shampoo for her head & Rainforest Shampoo & Conditioner. I ordered it from www.Glamourdog.com I also bought Liquid Silk & TopKnot gel. It has been working really well. I like the smell of CC better. Lexi has a cottony silky coat. |

Both my girl have the heavy modified silky coats and I have tried just about everything. I started the oldest on CC products..Day to Day shampoo & conditioner, Ice on Ice for final rinse and Ice/Ice spray for daily brushing. It has allowed her coat to grow and is always tangle free and shiney. I am bathing them every 10 days or so, unless needed earlier. Its the best I have ever found. My Biewer has that white hair that gets dirty easily and yellows and must be bathed much more often. The CC White on White takes care of all of that! I also use the White/White on my little baby yorkie. It makes the gold in her just shine. Great products!! Glad I found them. I started her on CC products at 11 wks...GREAT!! |

It is fine to bath your yorks as often as you like as long as you use a good conditioner to avoid drying them out. I use Pantene smooth and sleek conditioner with a variety of shampoos. |
So just to be clear, I can use people shampoos and conditioners? That's great. Some of them smell really nice and are a lot less expensive than dog products. |
I use Chris Christensen and I like it okay but when it is done I am going to try Petsilk. |
I got the CC Day to Day starter kit and all I can say is that it eliminated all of Tiger's "flakes". However, it did nothing to improve the texture of his coat :( so I might use someone's suggestion (on another thread) and try Pantene Conditioner. The tread mentioned that human shampoo's are bad for dogs but not conditioners. When I have completely used up the CC Kit, I will try and switch to Coathandlers Shampoo and Conditioner and see if it will do wonders for my Tiger's coat. |
Tropiclean I use tropiclean for my yorkie and shih tzu and love it. The shampoo you use just like normal shampoo but the conditioner you mix a dime to quarter size amount with a gallon of water and then rinse with a gallon of clear water. It's helped their coats grow and they smell clean afterwards not like perfume. I love it. It's a little difficult to find but Petco carries it. |
