Thinking about getting 2 yorkie's ???
 
Hi everyone !!
I have a few questions. I'm thinking very seriously about getting brother and a sister yorkie babies from the same litter.
:confused: So my question is when crate training ,do they need seperate crates ? Like when they are puppies do I keep them together when I need to leave out for a couple of hours ? :confused:
In a play pen?
At what age do I switch to the crate ,since I will be crate training and do I need to get two seperate crates for them ?? :confused:

Also for those of you who adopted 2 yorkie babies at the same time, I have got advice from many people who have said " It's going to be too overwelming , and how will you potty train two at the same time" ? So I know someone out here has done it..any advice would be appreciated.

I didn't get them at the same time but I have Chachi who is 12 weeks and I am picking up a girl (8 wks)today. I think it will be just as easy with 2. It seems like one will follow the other. I am glad to have them as puppies together so they can grow up together. I am going to separate them when they sleep but I probably will only separate them any other time if they get too rough playing. Good luck on which way you decide to go.

I kept 3 out of 4 puppies from my last litter. I kept them all together because I wanted them to play with each other when I was not there. When I began potty training, it was kind of overwhelming. However, I stuck to 1 schedule for all of them and it did get easier as they got older. So it can be done but takes a little bit more effort than 1 puppy.

We also have two little ones close in age...it at times is overwhelming but it is also twice the fun and twice the love...potty training has been hard but they tend to follow the lead of one another...we don't separate them anymore but when Sailor was littler we did at night just so they didn't wake each other up and so they could have some of their one private time away...you will defintely enjoy having two!!

I still am deciding and I think what I 'm hearing is 2 crates is what I should go with.
