Introduction Hello everyone: My name is shammy and I'm a brand new mom to a Yorkie named Maggie Mae. We just brought her home last night. Besides the other thousands of questions I have to ask...does anyone have pet insurance. If so, how much does it cost and what does it cover? Is it worth it? I'm from Canada and have been on the internet all morning looking...it's 'Greek' to me. LOL LOL Thank you for any help you can give me. shammy & maggie mae |
Welcome, can't wait to see pics. I have the VPI pet Insurance it costs me 19.00 a month. I have just sent in 1500.00 worth of charges for Cali's recent ER visits and I don't think they will cover them because they excluded any charges for hypoglycemia and the liver shunt expenses are considreed congenital. My advice is if you do get it, get it asap before you incur any expenses for conditions they will exclude once the dog has been tretaed for it prior to the effective date. |
Welcome to yorkietalk! |
Hi and welcome to YorkieTalk......You will LOVE it here! I know there are several posts on pet insurance - I know I asked about it once too, but didn't get many responses. You can use the search option in the blue tool bar and type in pet insurance and it will bring up several posts on the topic. - I need to do that too and see if I can find anything else. Good luck! Can't wait to see pictures! |

Don't know about pet insurance.. I don't use it. BUT Wanted to say Hello and welcome to YT. |
First off welcome to YT. I had pet insurance once and I filled a claim and sent in my paper work and guess what they never paid me. So to me it is not worth it. Now others may have had good luck with it but not me. |
