1st SHORT HAIRCUT At what AGE did you give your Yorkie it's first SHORT HAIRCUT? :) |
I got Chachi and Jewels theirs when they were about 4 months old. I was so sad afterwards though because it took out all of the black on their faces |
At Rowdy's first grooming ~ 3 months and ever since - he's always been in a puppy cut. We love it! But I know not everyone does. :) |
I haven't been brave enough to do it yet! |
1 Attachment(s) My Bitsy got her first short haircut at 5 months old (recently)... See picture... she was really matted before haircut... I actually like this better... and yes.... she also lost all her puppy black hair.... :) |
when i first got lexi i had to shave her, only cause the vet told me she was matted, stupid me didnt know how to brush her correctly... |
5 or 6 months old or so. We keep him short. I love his face short! |
Trace had a moderate trim at 5 months. His next grooming visit for a cut was at 9 months. They cut it short all over (about 1"), he wasn't shaved. His face was really cute, but his body looked nekkid to me until I got used to it. I like the length his body's at now (2") but his face needs another trim. |
Zeus got his around 5-6 months b/c his hair was very matted. But, ever since his hair has grown long and silky. We still keep it in a puppy cut, but no more matted hair and he is 2! :) |

Magic got her first hair cut around 4 months and we keep her cut short until this past summer when we started to let her hair grow out!! Sailor was probably around 3/4 months as well and we are also now letting her hair grow out!! |

ELLA was at 5 months....it was good, the outgrowth was making her look really funny!!!! :) |
Bailey was 4 mo. old when we gave him his first cut, he got the cuttest puppy cut with a short teddy bear cut on the face and it was adoreable. We have kept him in a puppy cut ever since, it's just too cute. |
