Wet or Dry Brushing I have a question about daily brushing. My baby is 6 months old (today!) and I have read conflicting theories on daily brushing. Should her coat be dry (one place says this causes hair to break off) or wet - misted with water or diluted conditioner (another place says NEVER brush a wet Yorkie). Help - I'm so confused  ! Thanks! |
I usually spritz him with a little ice on ice before I brush him, BUT I have my lazy days where I'll just run the brush through him quick when he's dry. The only downfall with brushing him dry is the static electricity in his hair! It sticks straight out! |
i comb lexi dry tooo, i also heard its not good for their coat. just cal me lazy, lazy lazy toooo |
I use a little bit of a ice on ice or diluted conditioner on Rocky. He get little tangles and I don't want to hurt him. Plus, he still smells good between baths. |
Vellus makes a product for static electricty that's great. I brush mine wet or dry. Depends on my mood.LOL |
I actually do too ...wet or dry - When my girls are in the bath I slobber conditioner on them and brush them... which really helps take out tangles - but it's NOT recommended to do this. |

I never brush the coat dry. I was told not to because it will break the coat so I usually spray them with something first too. Btw, Brutus is ADORABLE!! |

Ohhhhh dryer sheet....that's a super idea!! What is Ice on Ice and how to I get it. I haven't seen that in the pet store before. |
Google Chris Christensen and you will find the site to get Ice on Ice and other products. I always put the Icee on Ice on when I am brushing so I dont damage the hair. |
I always brush them after I spray a Little Ice on Ice or diluted conditioner. It makes them much easier to bush/comb |
I brush with the Ice on Ice mixed with a little water, because I was always told dry brushing damages their hair more. |
