Just dropped Gizmo off at the vet!!! Well I just dropped off my baby to get his teeth pulled! I'm so sad! I feel terrible for him! He just kept looking at me like please get me out of here! Then to make matters worse, I wanted to leave his blanket with him that he got from his valentine, that way he would have something from home. And when I asked, she said yes of course. And another women that was in there to get something rolled her eyes and laughed at me! And then did that thing with her finger around her ear like I was crazy for caring so much! I don't think she knew I was watching her! But I was very offended! How rude of her! Just because she may not care that much about her pet, doesn't mean that she should judge me. I just gave her the go to hell look and walked out the door. I aslo got him the pre-anestetic blood test to make sure he could be ok with the anestetic. I was not going to get it. But I didn't want to not get it, and regret it later if something went wrong! Please say a little prayer that he does good! And that 4pm comes around fast! So I can go pick up my little guy! |
what a rude woman!! She's the crazy one! I am going to be scheduling Daisy's teeth pulling soon too...I feel for you! And i think the pre blood work is a good thing..my vet wont do surgery with out it. |
I so know how you feel!! I had to take Piper when she was a pup to have two teeth pulled!! It made me crazy! You will be very glad you got the bloodwork - we got it and it made it a bit easier for me to know we knew all that we could to make sure she would be fine! :D There's not much that will make the time go by fast though!! Are they going to call you when she is out of surgery? That helped me - when I knew she was out and I just had to wait it was better than wondering when she was done and if everything went alright!! I will say a prayer for him and just make sure you baby him when you pick him up - I am sure you will. And there is nothing you can do about those people!! You wonder why they would even bother having a pet if they don't care that much!! Just think good thoughts :D :p :D |

I know Gizmo will be just fine and it will be 4 before you know it and he will be home with you. That Lady was very rude. If someone did that at my vets office I would be POed. They are all very nice and would have been understanding of that. |

As you said, she probably doesn't care for her pet(s) the same as you do (and all of us here at YT) but that did not give her the right to behave as she did! You are a better person than me for I would have said something to her, called her on her rudeness. Prayers for Gizmo and that things go well and 4:00 is here before you know it!!! We'll be praying for Gizmo!! He'll be fine :) That lady was soo rude to you! Don't let that woman make you think you're crazy for doing that. When Miko was hospitalized, I took him his blanket and even his favorite little teddy bear so that he could feel at ease. Every week, I brought him a different toy...He was in there 1 month! :( |
That is horrible that people can be so rude. By chance is it the lady who runs the front desk? (I know your vet)...Well, if it is I can promise that I can't stand her, LOL. I miss Judy the lady who used to work there but she retired/moved. Thoughts and hugs to Gizmo today. Oh, by the way...I left Ransom w/ his blanket also when he had a lengthy vet visit! It's just what Yorkie Mommies/Daddies do. ;) |

Thanks to all! It wasn't an employee there, she was in there buying something. But I know that girl that you are talking about. She is a little rude as well. She just never smiles or anything, it'sa like she doesn't like her job or something. When I worked for a vet I was in heaven!!! I just didn't agree with the way he did things. I am going to call here in a minute and check on him.. I have been trying to keep myself busy with the kids. And that has helped alot! I will give everyone an update when I hear something.. Thanks to you all! |

Good luck, Heather. I always took blankies in for Muffin and when Kacee was spayed, I took one in for her. I have never been treated like that. If I had been treated badly or seen indifference in the faces of those who worked there, I would have gone somewhere else. Give Giz a hug for me! :) |
