What's going on everyone!?!?! I just gave Bimmer a bath and was reminded how I never post on anything but the Sick and Injured forum. I don't have a single complaint in the world now that my boy is back to normal. I just wanted to stop by and say thanks again and hello to all of you. I'll be playing with Bimmer if anyone needs me... :D :D :D |
Awwwww! I am so happy Bimmer is recovering so well. This is wonderful news!! Yay for Bimmer - keep up the great work and hopefully we will get to see a bunch of great pictures!! :p |
Glad to hear he is better...enjoy play time... :D |

Glad to hear he is better!! More fun to post on other Forums |
Thanks everyone! Play time keeps getting interrupted by "meal breaks". Little man has eaten EIGHT times today. He's making up for two weeks of starvation, I reckon. Also, this is now three days in a row of ZERO hypoglycemia episodes. No "Stevie Wonder" head rolls, either. My little man is clean, active, healthy and living the good life... FINALLY! |
Oh..I am so glad!! Nothing like a healthy happy puppy!! :) |

Well Heeeeeeeeeeelllllllllllllllloooooooooooooooooo Ladies!!! I made this post some time ago, but since someone responded, I'll give you an update. 2/22/2006 12:52 AM Bimmer had his latest round of shots two weeks ago and was starting to exhibit the previous signs that led to the two weeks of hell I endured earlier. As if on cue, his sugar dropped that afternoon and he went lethargic on me. I'm a pro now, I swear. I grabbed the Karo syrup non-chalantly and rubbed his gums a little and POOF, he was back to life. I threw some canned food in his face and he ate. There's no emotion involved anymore, I'm a freaking pro at this by now. All was well... Fast forward two weeks (has it been THREE weeks?), and tonight I'm sitting in my office, just as I was then. Bimmer is asleep in his cage. He hasn't so much as sniffed any Nutrical since then. His sugar has been perfect and his appetite is starting to resemble that of a pig. He eats AT LEAST five times a day and he's really taken a liking to the hard food called Puppy Bites from Science Diet. Just tonight he ate about 25 pieces of that for dinner. The only lingering problems are his continued objection to drinking water from a bowl. I still have to feed him canned puppy food softened with water or else I feed him four or five CC's of water from a syringe. Other than that, he's perfectly normal. We're trying the pee-pad training and, honestly, we're not having a lot of success. The little man likes to poop in corners and when he's "on", he's really "on", sometimes pooping four times in an hour! Let's see, what else do I have to report? Ummmmm.... oh yeah, when we took him to the vet for his shots a couple weeks ago, he still weighed 10 ounces at, I think, 13 weeks old. He weighed 8 ounces at 6 weeks when we got him. I swear he looks like he's growing, but the scale says otherwise. I could care less about his weight though. He eats all day long and his sugar doesn't drop anymore, so I'm happy as a pig in mud. The best part though, he seems to be as happy as I am... until I put him up for the night... man he hates that! :D :D :D So in closing, Bimmer is doing wonderfully well and I already want to buy him a sibling. Not sure if I want a male or female since I suspect he'll try to hump his "sister", so I'm leaning towards a male. We'll see what happens... six more days and he'll have spent the whole month of February healthy. That'll be a first and we'll celebrate accordingly... Thanks for thinking of us... Love, Bimmer's Dad |
Im so glad he is doing wonderfull . Thats great news. |
