How much does your puppy sleep When your home all day with your puppies do they nap alot? Cali seems tp play for a couple of hours and then sleep for a couple of hours. I don't know if i'm being neurotic since she was jsut sick or if sleeping this much is normal. When she's up she's full of energy. |
Patti! Mine do the same with each have their own activity level. Ava sleeps the least, Chai the second most and Hefner the most. Hefner would "nap" all day if he could and does if someone is home sick in bed. He stays right there with them!! No worries...as longs as she has active periods, I think she is normal. |
Yes, Zoe used to nap alot but now it seems like he hardly naps and always wants to play. Now I wish he would nap more. :p |
Louie used to nap a lil' bit, but now always wants to play... but every dog's different. |
Pebbles and Gaby both sleep a lot. |
Gracie naps all the time. You would think a 2 year old would want to play all day! Right now she is curled up on her bed in front of the window. She sleeps up to 12 hours at night in her bed and after I get her up in the morning, she will nap untill my daughter goes down for her nap at 11... I love watching her sleep, she rolls over sometimes onto her back, spread eagle, head hanging over the edge of her bed, she is so cute!!! Right now she is all curled up with her head under her blanket... :p |
I'm home with mine all day. She plays alot, and has two short naps, about 20 minutes each time. She's a crazy case! She sleeps at night with us, and wakes us up at 6.30 am, just before the alarm clock goes off, then she attacks the clock! lol |
I was searching for a thread like this! Jaxon has been sleeping tons lately. He was neutered last Monday and seems to have recovered very well. The last couple of days he'll sleep through the night, and then nap most of the day from 9am to 5pm (I work from home). Maybe he's still recovering but it seems like a lot, especially considering we usually go to bed around 10pm. Does this seem like something more???? I always worry about my little guy (he's 6 months, 3.5 lbs). |
Bella sleeps through the night (usually about 8 1/2 hrs). We get up to get my daughter ready for school (Bella runs around, eats, poos, etc) and then about an hr later, she'll go to sleep for 4 hrs! She'll wake, run around like crazy and then take a cat nap or two later on. I usually don't let her sleep much after 2:00ish so she'll sleep good at night. The cat naps are fine, but no more then 20 mins or so. I'm sure if I'd let her, she'd sleep most of the evening as well, but then I'm afraid she'll be up all night. |
Dezi sleep a lot during the day, but once the sun goes down, she becomes a little brat. She runs around, bites, chases you, barks and at about 9:30 p.m., she is ready for bed. :animal-pa |
I've been amazed by my Topher since he came to our home at 18wks old on Feb. 16th. I have M.S. and rest alot...this little guy has no problem going to bed with me and sleeping right along with me. He usually crashes for the night around 11pm and will sleep until I wake him in the morning. I get him up for brekkies, a pee and a poo, then back to my bed or his crate (depending on how I'm doing that day) he goes for the morning. He gets up around 11:30am and plays hard till about 3pm then he sleeps anywhere from 3-6 hours (depending on how I'm feeling). It doesn't seem to matter how long he sleeps in the evening. It has never affected his night-time sleep. (thank heavens!) On Monday, I came down with a terrible cold and spent the whole day in bed. Topher stayed with me the whole day! I did get him up to do his business and eat, but he wanted to come back to bed with me and he had no problem snoozing! He's healthy and when he plays, he plays hard...and when he sleeps, he sleeps hard, too! I'm just ever so glad that he's slept through the night since day one. Never yet has he woken me in the middle of the night. (Topher is almost 6 mos and weighs almost 8lbs) |
