Cottage cheese
 
I find out today my Benny loves cottage cheese, but I don't know if this is good for a Yorkie or how much he can eat?

Most people mix a couple of tablespoon in with food. Not all the time but as a treat.

I mix cottage cheese with dry food for my pregnant moms and also once the pups are starting to be weaned they get cottage cheese with their food also. They all love it.

Well, I am glad to hear it is good for them because Dennis is a cottage cheese addict! 3 or 4 times a day he wants some so I either put it in his dry food or mix it with some mighty dog.

I guess it is not fattening because he is pretty slender.

I give my dogs cottage cheese about twice a week. They love it. That and cooked rice. In fact, it was my vet that suggested it. He said it's great to give them when they feel under the weather too. So I a very small container of low-fat cottage cheese and split it between the two dogs, mixing it in with their food. You would think they just won a million dog biscuits with how excited they are.

I give my girl cottage cheese about three times a week. She loves it and haven't had any problems.

Toto loves cottage cheese & pears! She gets about a tablespoon with some pear smashed up as her midday treat! Only problem I have .... she has to have a good face wash after. She puts her face in it!! ;)

Chester loves cottage cheese, it is supposed to have fatty acids in it for their hair, some dogs it might bother because, they could be lactose intolerant.

My dogs both love cottage cheese. I don't buy it especially for them, but if I have it for myself - they always end up getting some --and love it.

Since my last post I was giving Benny cottage cheese about 1tsp, and he was really sick for one day. He had diarrhea and a very painful stomach gas. He don't touch any food for a day, but now he is doing better. I think his stomach cant take the cottage cheese, poor guy he really liked.
