How do I get dog urine out of my carpet? Im sure there has already been a post on this, but I need some suggestions on how to get urine smell out of carpet, I am getting my yorkie baby snickers in two days :D but my shepherd mix peeded on my floor the other night (my husband locked him out of our room so i know he did it out of spite!) and I want to get out the smell completley before I get the puppy so he doesnt smell it and think it's okay to go there, plus it is right by my baby's toys!! I had a bottle of nature's miracle that I had bought for my puppy and I used almost the whole bottle, but that didnt work, I also used vinegar and water but it still smells!! Any suggestions would be welcomed!! Try This! Woolite makes a "fabric cleaner" it may say carpet right on it. Thats what we use, its gentle, too! Quote:

we use amonra (sp) in our carpet cleaner, works pretty good |
You might need to also "wash" the area...if you have those vacuum that also sucks water would be perfect...use warm water and soapy carpet cleaner, then dry then use something to cover up and residue of smell (odor remover for pets, water & vinegar or any of the other tips before <<woolite or amonnia>>) |
1 Attachment(s) Hi there, I was adviced not to use amonia or any amonia based products because even though they clean very well... they don't eliminate the odors completely. Amonia almost smells like urine! :thumbdown I will recommend Nature's Miracle Stain & Odor Remover, which contains enzymes that removes stains & odors permanently (no cover up). You can find Nature's Miracle products at any pet store. :) |
Thank you for all your suggestions, I do have a hand held carpet cleaner, and I did use that on it twice, but it still smells!!!! I am willing to try anything at this point!! Cara :) |

Hmmm... Maybe you could try the Nature's Miracle Odor remover for cats instead... ? Cats pee has a very strong odor, maybe that one helps... |
