People who own a Chihuahua and A Yorkie OR 3 furkids???? For those of you who own Yorkie's and Chihuahua's how do they get along? I am very seriously thinking about adding a Chi to my fur family. Right now I am doing research on the Chi breed so i get a better understanding of their needs and the difference of caring for a Chi opposed to a Yorkie. And for those of you who own 3 small dogs how much different is it from owning two? Is it a huge difference or barely noticeable? People I want the good, bad, and the ugly. :) |
4 Attachment(s) I have 2 yorkies and a tiny chihuahua and they all get along GREAT. They rip and romp all day long, playing with toys, playing with each other.... I've never had any problems with them getting along. Dixie is about 1.5 yrs old, Daisha is a year old and Callie(the chi) is 7 months old. They all eat together and they all sleep together. :) |

It makes me want to get one now. haha I was thinking about a white or cream coloured Chi. I love the last pic! |
I have Princess, a chihuahua named Poncho, and our Rotti Mandy. They all get along great. Yes Mandy is a big dog, but she's a sweet heart, and thinks she's a lap dog. |
i have 3 furkids and they all get along together great, and i found that a 3rd one was no added burden at all! |
1 Attachment(s) we have 3 some things are difficult like walks bringing them inside when outside we get 2 in go to get the 3rd in and the other 2 run out lol but otherwise its the same as having 1-2 just remember 3 times the food toys clothes TIME |
How about a Chorkie??? 3 Attachment(s) Ok all - I wanted to share another pict of my new baby and then photos of mom and dad... I know the combo sounds weird but at least she looks like mom! |

My daughter has a Chi, he and Pita get along great but they have a way different personality! OP is always on the go and he's a bit of a touch me not, where Pita would just be happy layin on my lap. They play and tease each other with bones all the time. It is a good mix. |
My third has been with me for 1yr now and it is just like he has always been here.In the beginning it was difficult because Bear my other boy hated him with a passion, the girl I had loved him and still thinks he is her pup.Now they all get along great!I am so glad I got him.I have a place at the beach and walking the 3 of them on a lease takes great skill.potty training was a little difficult and still is because Bear thinks he is the potty police and starts freeking out if Bandit starts to go in the house and trys to nip him and barks at him ,then if I scold bandit for peeing in house Bear wants to help me get him.So it has been really confusing for poor Bandit, but he is learning.Good Luck if you get another! |
Boy I bet that short coat on Callie is a nice relief after grooming the two yorkies. What a cutie! |

These are precious portraits! How did you get them to sitSTILL like that? Francie? |
I'd say GO FOR IT! My dream job (next to my Yorkies obviously!) is a little white or chocolate/tan female chihuahua. lol Any dog can get along with any other dog so long as they're brought up right. |
woops! meant dream dog* haha |

I have three yorkies and a westie and a standard poodle. I think three is easier in a way because if I take one with me on errands the other two still have each other for company. I have a strooler so when I take all three they are confortable. There are quarrels and some jealousy issues but basicallty they love each other and everyone has worked out their little niche with me and the rest of the family. It is amazing how they all adjust! |
I have three yorkies. Maddie will be three this month, Rudy is two and Polly will be 1 this month. Maddie is real laid back. Rudy and Polly have more of the same personalities and get along good. Three is just as easy as two, well I have four furbabies, Lucky my sweet chow-mix that is 16 years old. My three yorkies love her to death. |
