Okay, I was looking at Craigslist. Not to find another puppy...just looking, and I found this. Please, someone tell me it's a stupid kid playing a joke right?

my petshop yorkie needs to mate! Want to help

i have a female yorkie I bought from a petshop on a whim and someone told me that I should mate her so i can keep a pupy and sell the others for money. So wow, like wow, that is what I am doing! So, if you have a male one, then let's throw them in a room togeher and let them mate. I do not know anything about my dog's pedigree or really anything about dogs in general. I probably won't even end up keeping this dog for more than a year. I will probably need to move to a place that won;t allow dogs or I will suddenly not want to deal with a dog. But what the hell? It might be funh to breed her. She seems to have some kind of a hip problem, but I am sure she will be fine. Hey, I can just drop any puppies that won;t sell off at the local shelter and the taxpayer money can pay to gas them! What do I care? I am a vapid idiot who idolizes Paris Hilton. Hear me roar!

Oh please tell me you found out this is a child or a joke right? I dont get to post much, i work alot, But try to come by when I can, But this had me screaming to be honest! I actually have two yorkies, But
I just recently aquired a new little male yorkie, He is a year and half old. He was given up because his coat wasnt the color the owner actually wnated, He is almost all silver and blonde, They wanted black and gold Not sure what it actually called, He is adorable, sweet and just plain adorable!. I think it is so sad to see and hear of these things.
Just so sad!!!!

sounds like some one who either does rescue and is ridiculing the people that do infact do exactly as is written... or two... it is definately a joke. or it could be a combo of the two. but since they didn't post any contact info.. i'm going to say it's a joke. and i think they only said yorkie because it is a popular "tiny teacup" breed to the people that would have these thoughts.

I totally agree with your thoughts. If only you all could see the jokes that fly between rescues you would understand. Many rescue groups hear the same thing day after day so at times they get a little silly because they can't believe this stuff still goes on. How many people buy a dog on a whim and then figure they will recoup the costs by breeding without any knowledge of what they are doing. We could write books on why people gave up their dogs and sometimes you get tired of bashing your head into a wall with people so you do silly things like this. Yes, I am positive it was a joke from a rescues perspective.

yeah i was thinking that in no way was that post real. but then again with some people being the way they are..you never fully know which is sad for the pups.

I AGREE with Erin - it's someone making fun of the people that want to breed for money -

I actually think it's pretty good - makes a GREAT point about the motives of some people ....Pet Stores....AND the problems that are bound to happen when someone throws to dogs together.....it talks about Genetic problems passed on AND THE OVERPOPULATION in the Shelters...AND pokes fun at Paris Hilton
