Here's another one for you guys.... Biscuit has started peeing when he gets excited like when we first get home or let him out of his crate in the morning. Do any of your babies do this? Will he outgrow this (he's 7 months)? I am thinking of trying belly bands, but right now he's got his stiches still from his surgery so those are out of the question. Do you put pads in the belly band? Ahhhh! I feel like i'm going to be swimming in doggy pee pee soon! All suggestions are greatly appreciated! :) |
excited. i have never seen a dog that didn't pee when it gets excited. Yorkie or otherwise. I get so aggravated at Ceeby, when my pug and poodle are playing or fighting outside his baby gate, he runs and flips all around and just pees without ever stopping. Or when I am out and come home, he pees, the other dogs do this too but they are not on carpet. Also, when they go outside in the yard and see new things or go to where the beagles are kept, they pee a hundred times. |
Sometimes it's just they have held it so long, excitement=flow.LOL. I have used belly bands on my intact males and yes, I use 1/2 of a maxipad. If you're going w/ the bands, make them yourself because they are overpriced :) IMO. |
Jess is 2 years old and STILL pees when we come home or when shes exited. My parents came over after weeks without seeing them the other day (even though they live real close by) and Jess peed on my mum when she sat on the couch..so I guess I wont be seeing them for another few weeks now:( It is anoying becuase hse REALLY pees alot,Im just lucky we dont have carpet! lol. |
Apple still pees when she sees somebody new. but she has outgrown peeing when we come home. have hope. they will grow out of it. :p |
Lucky for us the only time any of ours have peed in excitement, was when Roxie when to stay with a friend to get breed. It took a week, and when I showed up she peed all over  . Then when I picked her up she did it again :omg: on me. We do use a belly band on Peter though, to keep him from marking everything. Just having it on detures him so we don't put any pads in it. However, I have heard of some people using nursing pads in them. Best of luck to you. |
Are you taking him outside immediately from being let out of the crate? |
Yeah, He immediately pees before i can get him out the door. The other day my boyfriend came and surprised him in the bedroom, of course, on the bed. All good advice on the bellybands though, we'll give them a try soon :animal36 |
Hope the belly band's work!! I have a friend who's miniature dashound, female, pee's when she get's excited, only before you can clean it up, she's licking it off the floor. First time I saw her do this, I freaked out!!! |
I guess Im lucky Chester has never done that. |
