DEBATE! Under the blankets??? Help me please! I am arguing with my husband. Dreama has decided that it's much nicer to sleep UNDER the blankets, (head and all, half way down the bed) than on top of the blanket. My husband Dave says she could suffocate! I said if she is having a hard time breathing, she would come out. He said, no she won't, she'll pass out first! I told him dogs have slept at the bottom of beds under the blankets for years! He doesn't believe it. Keep in mind, we are talking one thin quilt and one medium comforter and one sheet. What do you think? Dave has two pillows propping the blanket up so his pup can sleep in comfort and still breathe! Now's he asking me if he should go get his old fish tank air pump and run a tube under... He's out of control.... I think she can get adequate oxygen through the blankets, he says no way. WHO'S right?? :p |
ROLMAO!!! The part about the air hose is too much!! I thin I love your H!!! I agree with you though that she will be fine. I even sleep under the covers sometimes so I think it is safe. :) |
Oh my! My dogs do this all of the time and have never had a problem. If they get hot they just crawl out. ROFL I can just see the tube under the blanket!! LOL :rofl28ib: :rofl28ib: :rofl28ib: |

Pixie sleeps completely under the covers all night every night! We have the sheet, a light comforter and then a really heavy blanket.... LOL. Unless you sleep in a plastic baggie, I don't think there's much danger of suffocation! |
:eyetearss :eyetearss :eyetearss :eyetearss Sorry, but this is too FUNNY!!!!! Daddy's little girl will be just fine! Princess is under there all the time, When she get's too warm, she comes out. Your husband reminds me of mine. Our Sons can go to the Drive In's without questions. Our Daughters on the other hand, have to be home before dark!!! :lol tears :lol tears :lol tears |
She will be fine my Brambles has slept under my blankets every night for almost 7 yrs.with never a trouble:) tell him that you will move the covers as you move about in your sleep and that will give her enough fresh air:) that is so sweet , :) |
LAMO!!!!! I think it's sweet that your hubby is so concerned...bring out the air hoses! Too cute! I do believe that your baby will be okay. ;) |
That is wonderful that your husband loves her so!!! My little guy has never wanted to go under the covers, but I think if he did, he would be fine. |
Too funny....I love the hose idea...but I think dogs have slept under blankets as long as we have allowed them into bed- |
You can add Rowdy to the list of babies that sleep completely under the covers - and he's still alive and well. In fact, he sometimes sleeps under a pillow we keep on the bed just for him. A while back we couldn't find him and he was completely underneath my pillow!!! Of course, I couldn't let him stay there, I'm pretty sure he WOULD suffocate with my big fat head on the pillow on top of him. So.....we had to put an extra pillow on the top of the covers in the middle of the bed (thank goodness we have a king sized bed!) so that Rowdy can get under it if he takes a notion - which he does for at least, part of every night. Tell your hubby that Dreama is completely normal! :) |
Thanks, everyone! We have enjoyed all the response very much! I laughed so hard at some of them, I thought I was going to hurt myself! I think Dave feels safer now. Yup, he's completely in love with his pup! :p |
Scooby always sleeps under the covers and I always worry about it..I "whoosh" the covers before going to sleep. Possibly adding enough oxygen to get him til morning?? lol, If I didn't let him under the covers he would just wait for me to go to sleep-if he decided to let me go to sleep! |
