Beggerr!!! I have no idea how Bentley got to be such a begger. He is 4 months old and we've had him for about 3 weeks now. For a couple days we wouyld give him like a spoonful of ice cream at night or a lil dollop of whip cream but we learned it wasnt good for them so we stopped. We never fed him "actual table food" or from the table. But when he is around food he goes nuts! He begs and whines and if you pick him up he will try to jump out of your hands to get the food! Its crazy! He also stopped eating his dry Eukanuba so I tried putting that Iams savory sauce on it and that didnt work so I put wet eukanauba food on there and that did the trick! He ate like more then half! So we fixed that problem but he is still a begger. We are starting to keep him downstairs while we eat but if their are any other suggestions or if anybody knows how long this will last please let me know! Thanks! |
Tia is doing this too. I made the mistake of giving her a bit of my yogurt ONCE and now she won't stop. We've decided to ignore her begging or we put her in another room while we eat. I'm not sure if this is the correct approach, but she has gotten a little better about it in the past few days. |
the very first night i got nala i made a sandwhich and decided to eat it in front of her thinking she wouldn't beg, boy was i wrong she went nutz trying to get a bite!! and i honestly don't think her breeder fed her people food (they sure as hell didn't bother to worm her!) so i don't know where she got the begging from. she's getting better but it's still hard to eat around her unless she isn't paying attention. |
Hate to tell you this but he knows which buttons to push to get the food. I know it is going to be VERY VERY hard especially since he is SO CUTE but you have to stand your ground and tuff it out. You have to be firm with him. It is for his own good. Good luck!!! |
I sincerly think , they all know which button to push when they want to have something . |
