weight question? If a yorkie is 6lbs at 10 monthes, what would the yorkies weight be at 1 tr. old which would be full grown? Thinking of adopting a neighbors yorkie but want to make sure she wont be to much bigger then ours. |
You needn't be worried about one Yorkie being larger than another. It won't bother them. My Yorkie was 4 pounds when I got him (6 1/2 pounds now) and his best friend is my 21-pound Bichon. He drives my Bichon crazy and totally wears him out. My friend has a lab and a small poodle - and they are best friends. Good luck! Carol Jean |
At 10 months old I would say that he/she is done growing~ |
I don't think he's going to get bigger. I'd say go get her!!! And when you do, we would love to see pictures!!!   |
As I understand it,most yorkies do not groe in height or length after their adult teeth are in at 7 or 8 months. They do continue to "fill out" for a while after that and may weigh more but they won't get "bigger" per se. |
I think it would be safe to say at 10 months that yorkie is pretty much grown. Usually they are 90% done growing at 8 months. Is there any problems with the yorkie as to why they want to get rid of it? Do you know much about the personality and everything else to make sure it will fit in with yours? If not check some things out first, as not all yorkies get along. Some could be alpha females which in some cases could be bad. |
