Well we went to see the little males and I brought Sugar Bear along and the first thing the lady says to me before she even says hello my name is_____, Is were did you get your dog? I replied the far east side the she goes on with this she is no good just look at her face its out of proportion and those ears and she has wire hair she's not show quality.

My first instinct was to walk out the door however I really wanted to see the pups so we looked and played and I fell in love and we told her that I would call her monday but Guys I really gotta tell you Im not getting him she really hurt my feelings and I know that she is a breeder but she had 24 dogs....

I have laid on the floor with Sugar Bear and told her that I think she is Beautiful and Im sorry that that lady said other wise. And one other thing I had my 3 girls there and we dont swear around our children and I know it terminology to refer to the female as "'Bitch" but come on there were little ones there and my oldest kept lookin at me and I cut the lady off and said honey she is refering to the mommy dogs..Thats what you call a female dog but mommy calls them mommy dog or by there name.

So wish me luck on my journey for my male .....

Well, what a B@!*?#...pun intended! What was her problem?? Why did she think that you came there for her to judge your dog? Does she not understand that people actually love their pets or is it just all business to her? I really can't stand breeders like that! Wow, I can't even type what I would have said to her right then and there! :mad: Better yet, just after explaining to your daughter what the lady meant by "bitch", I would have added "or when you come accross a female such as this woman"...LOL! Sorry, I can't contain myself in these types of situations :D You have to forgive me! :rolleyes:

I think I would have asked her where she got her manners. Then I would have proceeded to tell her what qualities she was lacking in that field.
I'm glad you decided not to buy from her. There are plenty of babies out there, you will find one soon. I think your Sugar Bear is adorable!

Ravens Keeper is right. Where did the breeder get her manners? :thumbdown See how would she feel if you point to her baby and give her a long list of faults. Please give Sugar Bears a big hug for me and tell her some people are just nuts.

Well you guys made me feel so much better and I also just got off the phone with a pal of mine who is just a lurker here her name is Cares4Dogs and she made me feel so much better thank you Kathy for letting me vent and also for letting me ramble....I have sent an email to a gentlemen that has some male Yorkies and I plan to call him tomorrow to see if he is still availible. Due to recent problems with linking puppies I will add the link after I find out if I get the puppy so hopefully tomorrow I can post the link and you can see the little gent thatI have been starring at on the net for like 2 weeks.

I know that must have been hard for you, can't believe someone would say such! I looked at your dogster page and you have really been through some unfortunate events with your pups lately, hopefully that will turn around soon. How old are your pups?

actually Dribbles,Bj,and Cinnamon rathere be outside they come in for like 20 minutes then they get restless and want out and Kricket and the babies are mostly inside. Oh I have 3 BIG dogs in the back yard as wel a Husky,Shar-pei, and a Golden retriever. They are all great and get along well together. Yes Our house is a ton of fun we enjoy being chased by the puppies.

Actually I was a puppy from Kricket and Bear and I was to be sold until my daddy was killed by one of my uncles Mr. all b/c mommy's ready to have babies again and my owner didnt want any right now any ways. They had to take my daddy to be creamated and I get to stay with my mommy YEA I'm so happy

Mr was given to me from my mom he was the only other male I had besides Bear and Mr was due to get neutered on the 9th which was a monday. Bj was also to be sold that same day. Well I took my kids to the park on the 8th and my husband was home sick and he thought I took Kricket to the park with me and he let Bear outside with Mr. He was out there for less the 10 minutes and I came home and found him(Bear) lying there Dead in my front yard and Mr was over him covered in blood. So rather then selling Bj I called the buyer and explained to him what happened and that I would not be selling Bj. as for Mr. He went to the Humane society to be adopted to a person who had no other males. As for Bear well he's at Rainbow bridge. Bj has an apointment to be fixed this coming week....Hope this clears up any confusion

Mr was a pure bred male Bichon Frise who out weighed Bear by 11#s

Well my mom rescued him(Mr.) from a mall pet store they were going to put him to sleep as he was an older dog and the lady called my mom to see if she wanted him and she was like well let me call my daughter and see. I barely had him here with me a few months and him and Bear played very well together despite the height and weight difference then all ofa sudden this....

I am sorry the breeder was so unkind to your little girl. Not all of us are BIS winners..and neither are our Yorkies..but all are very special and deserve respect.

Thank You Pat I think Sugar is very pretty and I spoke with another breeder Maybe you have heard of them YorkieRanch and she said Mrs.Armstrong you sound upset so I told her what happened and she said oh thats just not right to say that and very rude I felt so much better. Even if my Sugar doesn't have a FANTASTIC coat she's what I liked and I fell in LOVE in seconds of holding her.

I am sorry that you had this encounter, however please consider yourself blessed. This nasty person isn't worth the time it takes to get upset. Just because this mean-spirited person said ugly things about your little one doesn't mean that they arre true. And from the sounds of it you wouldn't be interested in buying from a person like that anyway. You know, your little fur baby is waiting for you and there calling your name...... LOL hurry up and listen harder!!!

:eek: I am so sorry about Bear. Bichon Frise was high on my list and I have read many books about them. They are supposed to be very friendly with both people and other dog and very sweet and mellow too. I guess you never know what could happen - all depends on indivial dog I assumed.

That is so mean! She should of kept her comments to herself. Sugar Bear is beautiful! And she has 24 dogs??? I think that is animal cruelty. Nobody can take care of 24 dogs. I think she should be reported. 24 dogs seems a bit much almost like a puppy mill.

She should not have given you an "evaluation" without you asking. What she did is very rude but I'm sure that she didn't realize what she had done. I find it hard to believe that a majority of the population would be rude on purpose.

Find another breeder or get this one...but don't take Sugar Bear back to her house.

First, as for your Bichon--those dogs are so often from mills and are being rescued by the hundreds. But, that does not ease you pain and loss.
As for that idiot person, I guess all of her dogs are show winners and her human kids all are beauty pagent/Mr. World/geniuses who have an idiot for a parent.
Post her name and number and she will quickly learn how to critique a well-loved pet quality Yorkie...Sorry for her ignorance and ill-breeding.. Her manners and respect for others is -0..

I am so sorry that this woman was that rude to you and your yorkiebaby! Your Sugar is just adorable.

BTW, your Oreo looks EXACTLY like our Shih-tzu, Spanky, did when he was little. :) Brought back such memories to see!

Is it possible the comments were made because she thought you wanted to breed the pups? BTW, is that why you are looking for a male in order to start a breeding program?

I dont think it was I had told her that I wanted to get him mostly as a pet and maybe have one litter if I feel Sugar would be ok. Other wise I would be setting up an apointment to get him or her fixed.
