Hairtie thief
 
Does anyone elses yorkie do this? If I am laying on the couch or playing on the ground with my furbaby and have a hairtie in my hair she makes a stealth attack... rips the hairtie out of my hair and goes and hides the hairtie. What is up with that?

Sorry! That is too funny! Does she have her own things to play with? That may help.. Or she just may a hair tie fetish!!! LOL. Who knows, dog's can be so funny sometimes. Gizmo likes to stand back and wait until my baby drops a little soft toy. Then he runs in, snatches it, and off he goes behind the chair or the couch, to enjoy it!!!
-I can just see your little one sitting there watching you, like a lion stalking its prey! Then she is in for the kill. And off to enjoy it all by herself!!!

LOL, okay, Lexi may have a klepto problem!!!! Lily will actually steal the socks I am wearing. She gets a good hold and pulls them right off. Maybe Lexi and Lily should join a theifs anonymous club.

Lexi's mom, you've just describe Trace's favorite toy. He has a pink, fuzzy pony tail holder that we used to take away from him (usually just placing it on a table, he'd get up there to get it back). He plays by himself with this thing...carrying, tossing, chasing...for hours on end.
Finally we resigned to ourselves....it's his hair tie and let him enjoy it.
Btw, he has a whole toy box FULL of dog toys that he'll paw and nose through UNTIL he finds that stupid hair tie :D

never had that happen, she'll pull paper out of anything though, she's also a fan of dirty laundry.....i love it when she drags my underwear out into the family room.

At least Lexi isn't stealing your underwear...lol...I have to be very careful with that because she will run as fast as she can in open spaces with it (i.e. living room!!!)

Sophie is always stealing my hairties. If she can reach it it is gone. The bad thing is she does it to everyone and she will even jump on their back while they are sitting and check to see if they are wearing one. LOL! I always just let her have mine but I don't think everyone else thinks it is as funny as me. Oh well.

Frodo has a habit of doing this too!! Any dirty laundry lying around (socks especially!) and he will make a bee line for it, leaving all his wonderful toys behind. Too funny!

Baby does the SAME thing to my hair when I have a clip or a Srungie in it. She also books like a bat out of you know where everytime I drop anything on the floor. You know the saying, "if it drops on the floor...it's MINE!" :animal36

That is SO funny!! I would love to see the 'hair tie' police checking people at the door for their hair apparel!!

I have short hair, so no hair ties, but socks are one of Dublin's favorite things. Bad enough that he tries to get them when you're sitting down, but sometimes he does it when you're walking! :eek:

LOL, Princess needs to join that club! Once a week I pull the couch out just to see her stash. If it falls it's hers, and if she can reach it, it's hers. One day my cell phone was missing, I knew just where to find it. :yelrotflm

OMG! Trixie does that too! :eek: She is ALWAYS stealing my scrunchies out of my hair. :( Then when I try to get it back, it becomes a tug-of-war game and by the time I get it, it\'s all wet and slobbery so it\'s not like I can actually put it back in my hair! :rolleyes:

No, instead because most of the time I wear those clips that look like small jaws in my hair, if I have one lying around he\'ll start biting it.
