Anyone use an all in one step in harness and lead? Its such an ordeal to go out. It takes forever for me to put on the harness just for a quick trip outside! |
I did, but it was still weighty for her. Kind of cumbersome also. I picked up one that show dogs use and it is really pretty easy. Less of a bulky thing for the puppy too. |
I use a step in harness and love it. Just step in and one snap and we're off and running. Plus I love the built-in safety feature, if for some reason the snap comes undone, the harness is attached to the lead. |
btw..... my harness is very lightweight, but strong. |
i only use step in harnesses.. i need to get somemore though.. i think they are the best cause getting any harness on lexi is a joke...this one is so easy. |
We use a step in harness for Aria too. I like the idea that it doesn't go around the neck. She steps in, we buckle it in the back and we are done :) Oh but it's not the kind with a lead attached... |

Mine don't have leads attached, here is a pic..... |
I just have the regular run-of-the-mill harness for Matthias. It's on all the time. It even has his rabies tag and identification tag attached to it. The only time I take it off is for baths and brushing. It's light weight and he pretty much ignores it. |
Where did you guys find a step in harness small enough to fit your pups? I got one for Pixie from the pet store, but she's so little (just about 2.5 pounds now) it doesn't fit her well enough. She can wiggle out of it in just a few minutes! The one I have will probably fit her once she's full grown, but I want one small enough to fit her now.... |
ok...so which step in does everyone use that is lightweight... |
harness I bought the harness for Peanut from Petsmart. It cost $10.00 dollars. I've been looking for something better, but I haven't found what I want. I've tried the Easy-Walk Harness and it didn't work because it was sliding through Peanut's hair. If anyone has any opinions on what I should get, please feel free to leave me your suggestions. |
We use a step in for Annie as well and its the best. We had originally got her one that you had to put face through and that was always a struggle. But this one is great. I little pricey for the Harness and Lead, but worth it for something you will use daily. It's really durable. Here's the link of where I got it from: http://trixieandpeanut.com/collars/nylon/uc3160.html |
When we adopted Tripp he had had a collapsed trachea and it was a must for him to wear a harness, he just has a normal one but it's on him all the time except when he goes to bed at night. Now both Tucker and Tripp have one, and I think they're a lot better off. |
amazing step in harness made by chattiesmom. It fits perfectly. I've been meaning to post this for everyone to see. Even my husband said it was easy to use! I recommend it highly! Sheryl |
Step in Harness I use the step in harness for all three of mine. Just step in, snap and go. My girl friend bought one for her little 2.4 lb yorkie (she's full grown), but it was still too big. I bought some ribbed ribbon and took the hardware off the store bought collar and made her one. She loves it!! |
