Oh my gosh! Little Eli needs you!!! His story warmed my heart. I sure do hope he is able to come live with you. This way he can join us when we go to Rogers Doggie Park for our meet up!! I will keep my fingers crossed and Ransom and Schatzie will keep their paws crossed in hopes that Eli finds his home with you. :thumbup: |

I haven't heard anything yet. I emailed the rescue twice yesterday. I let them know that I know the problems Yorkies can face (LP, etc) and am willing to do whatever it takes to take care of Eli. I encouraged them to call my Vet for a reference on how I care for my Yorkies and they are up to date on shots and on heartworm and flea prevention. I shared that I thought it would be very beneficial for Eli to be with other Yorkies (thanks, Livingdustmops!) and someone who knows how to care for this breed. I was honest with them about not having a fence (that may be my downfall), but our dogs always go on walks everyday on leash and we do take them to areas they can safely be off leash to play as well. I encouraged them to make a visit to our home and see how our Yorkies live. I tried to call the phone number several times with no answer. I'm getting a little discouraged, but I feel I've done everything I can to let them know we would be a good home. The ball's in their court now. If it's meant to be, they will contact me! |

Update I just got an email stating that Eli is getting adopted by someone else. :-( Kinda disappointed, but I guess it\'s meant to be. I did everything in my power to be the one to get him. I just hope he goes to someone who just loves the stuffins out of \'im! |

I just read this entire thread, I am so sorry you didn\'t get little Eli. Let\'s just be content that he is going to a great home that will LOVE him to pieces. that is exactly what he needs and although it wasn\'t you, I commend you for trying so hard to give him a loving home! And of course we all know that you would have! Maybe there is another rescue out there that needs you more than Eli. |
