Anybody interested in a playdate in Colorado?
 

Hi, My sister has 2 Italian greyhounds and they always arrange a small dog playdate several times a year. Starsky is the only yorkie there along with about 30 Italian greyhounds!! uh, I think he is a little out numbered. Well I want to have a Yorkie playdate here. Anyone around here interested? I am not sure how many Colorado Yorkies are on here.

On the Italian Greyhound play date we met at Mantayo Kennels and Dog School. The address is 1220 S. Wadsworth Blvd in Lakewood. I can try to arrange something there like my sister does. It is all indoors.

I'm not in CO now, but I spend 4-6 weeks there in June. We stay between Chama, NM and Antonito, CO. Any of you near??? We go to Alamosa to Walmart! :eek:

Welcome RowdysMom! I just pm'd you a list of members in Colorado. Hopefully, the list would grow longer and someone there is in or closer to your area. :)

Colorado Yorkie playdate
 

Just thought I would put my personal PM on here for everybody to see who wants to come to the Colorado Yorkie play date!!



Okay, I hear all you guys are interested in a yorkie playdate. Well I got in touch with someone involved with Mantayo kennels off of Wadsworth in Lakewood. She arranges play dates for all breeds. She has been trying to arrange a yorkie playdate for a long time but didn't know of very many people with yorkies. She knows about 4 other families plus our group which will make enough to rent the place out. They can rent their facility for $40.00 and hour. Depending on how many yorkies or yorkie familys we have we can split the charge. I was thinking 2 hours would be enough time. It's a nice indoor place for the dogs to run and it's really a good size room. Then I thought we could all bring a snack to share for each other and if you want to bring treats for the dogs we can do that too. It will be great to meet everyone in person and to let the dogs socialize with one another.

What I need to know first is what dates are good for all of you. Throw out a few so I can see if anyone of them match other peoples dates. Then I can arrange the playdate. I hope you all can come and if you know of anyone else who wants to come, bring them along. We can open it up to other small breeds if you like.
