My Last Baby Passed Away
 

I lost my beloved Sookie in January 17 of 2024. And on Sunday, November 9, 2025 I lost my sweet, sweet Bella.

Sookie had liver failure. The night before she lost her battle she was disoriented during the night. Something was off, as she was healthy and would normally sleep throughout the night. During the day, she was hardly lifting her head up. But she tried to eat when we fed her. Sadly, by evening she was whining. We decided to rush her to emergency. At worst we thought maybe she would be kept overnight for observation, so when we were hit with the news of her kidney failure and presented with no options we had to make the hardest decision to not let her suffer any longer. Sookie had always been the healthy of the two and her sudden loss hit us like a ton of bricks.

Bella lived for nearly two years after Sookie's Passing. Though her health, over time, had deteriorate slowly but lived healthy over all. Her breathes became deeper over time. These last few months she lost weight. And in the last few weeks she seemed to work harder to breathe. Until two days ago, as we woke up on Sunday we noticed our Bella was struggling to breathe. It was shallow, and it was also slowing down. We rushed her to emergency but we knew that more than likely not be returning home with us.

We had been preparing for something like this for the longest time, but my wife and I are both devastated. When we lost Sookie, Bella helped us through the healing process. But now both of our babies are gone.
