Well if it's not one thing... Omgosh!! Seriously? On top of our little rescue needing prednisone, antibiotics and anti seizure meds... she now has kennel cough symptoms. So suppressed immune system is not good with this and now our other sweeties may get this. Fun fun... sry. Venting Vet appt is this afternoon. |
Best of luck to you |

It will be ok. Pain in the backside, but it will pass. Prayers |
That stinks and scary at the same time. Pain doesn't pass fast enough for me when my pup is sick. Hugs! Feel better |
Well she got through it and our other dogs didn't seem affected. |

Vet visit tomorrow.. I just need more eyes on the little rescue because she seems to have more worse days than brief good moments. And omgosh was it hard to get her a name!!! We call her little moon. Or moon, or moon. Lol Shes the exact color of the moon it its white brilliance. |
Or moony... |
How did the vet visit go. On a lighter note, I did like the name Smokey after the lil warrior war hero. See"s a little fighter. Moon is cute to. |

The vet visit wasn't good. They were expecting some improvement but in some ways she is worse. Although she can move her head around and isn't doing the head pressing anymore. Her somersaults are still happening where her head goes down and can't come out of it. And her leg stability has lessened. She doesn't control the positioning of the front ones as well as she use to and the back ones are worse than before and worse than the front legs. She doesn't try to play anymore either. |

Is it possible to share videos here? |
I don't think so, I have never seen one. |
Thanks. I was going to show her as of today. |

I’ve mentioned before how much little Moon’s symptoms remind me of a foster I once had. Everything was so, so similar — the head pressing, the lack of coordination in the legs, etc, etc, etc. The only major difference was that Lexi (my foster) wasn’t dumped at the shelter until she was severely emmaciated; she had deteriorated well past the time when she was no longer able to eat. Lexi did not have liver shunt, which I only know because the rescue had an autopsy done after she passed. However, I do completely agree with LadyJane that it would be a good idea to have a bile acid test done to rule if out. Liver shunt is often treatable, especially if you catch it early. |
