What’s the oldest Yorkie you’ve owned Dexter is going to be 11 this December. Are years with them seem to go by so quickly. I’m just hoping I still have many more years with him. |
No matter how long we have its never long enough :(. My moms friend had a Yorkie until 19 and even when he went blind they still went on walks. |
You’re so right. If life was fair, they would be with us until our dying days |
17 years and still counting :D |
That’s great 😁 |
17 years old. |
If life was fair, they’d live as long as we did 😢 |
Given the amount of time we have with these precious babies I had to think hard and long before deciding did I want another after losing my beautiful Matese. I have had to let many go and it doesn't get easier, the pain is not lesser. Losing Matese was the most painful because she was with me for 17 years. I thought about the good, loving, fun days I had with all my babies and decided to adopt my lil guy Cody. He is now 11 years old, healthy and frisky, I cherish each day we're together because one never knows what tomorrow can bring. That's the choice we make when we decide to bring another fur butt into our lives. Never enough years with these lil monkeys. |
If love added years to their lives, Dexter would live forever. |
Our first 2 passed away at 14. We have number 3, and he is also 14 and not doing well. Strange coincidence. I wish they lived as long as people do, the end of life and deciding when to stop medical intervention is so tough. Only our first Yorkie made it clear that he wanted to go, by not eating any more, no matter what we tried to feed him with the Vet saying there was nothing left he could do. |
My friend had to that with his Dachshund last year 😕 |
