DRY shampoo? I'm on vacation and had Maggie groomed shortly before I left. We used a new groomer and she didn't look as fluffy as normal. I think they sprayed too much of something on her. I won't take her for a groom here but thought maybe a dry shampoo would take off some of the oil (?--her hair looks a bit greasy). I think a lot of the dry shampoo are more about covering up dog smell with a scent. Maggie's hair has gotten thinner from steroid and she went from 10 pounds to 12 which also makes it look thinner. I think this all contributes to her looking dirty. She also has some sebaceous cysts which I think smell a little. Poor baby has been through a lot but is doing very well! ( Radiation for a meningioma 15 months ago). Any suggestions? She's not a fan of baths, so dry shampoo would be awesome. |
Thanks for the update. Happy to hear Maggie is doing well. I wish I could help you out with a dry shampoo suggestion, I have never had to use one on any of my babies. Hopefully someone will chime in with some suggestions. |
Poor girl for being thru so much but nice to see she is doing well! I am not familiar with dry shampoos but Flints face and head tends to look rough and oily in between washes. I find his hair fluffing back up nicely after running a puppy wipe over him though. |
I use Isle of Dogs Waterless Shampoo for pups who are ill and I don't want to put in the tub: https://www.amazon.com/Isle-Dogs-Ref...0511739&sr=8-5 |
For my pups with skin issues, my vet always recommends Duoxo Mousse https://yourfuzzy.com/products/medic...ecf8643852e512 |
I completely forgot.....this product is amazing!!! I use it on two of my pups with skin issues/allergies. It has cut down on the number of baths they need...smells amazing and really makes their coats so much nicer!
