Need a Opinion
 

Wife and I are planning on hopefully getting two yorkie baby's in the spring. If were able to afford them :tongue: , question we have is what's better two little girl's or a little girl and a little boy? A Little girl is a done deal....cuz we just love them, wife really would like two girl's but would that be wise?any and all opinions welcome.

I only have one boy so I don't know what to tell ya, I just wanted to hop on and say that I'm really jealous of you guys!!! Good luck whatever you get.

I think it really depends on their personalities. We have one of each & it works out great for us!

me personally would get another girl besides lexi...i just love girls....

LOL Yep,felt that way for years,frankly thats why we could never breed them,would be overrun with Yorkie babys cuz we would never be able to turn loose of any of'em

I have two yorkie girls who are about 5 months apart. They get along great and i have had no problems.
I have always heard that a boy and a girl are the best combo if your getting two but I prefer girl dogs and that's why i got two girls. :)

I too have a boy so I am kind of biased. Boys are so sweet and affectionate. If I could have 2, I would have one of each or 2 boys, but that is just my opinion. Any way you guys decide to go, you are going to have so much fun. I wish I could have 2 babies also!!

I have one of each. Until we got Gage, I always said I wanted a female, NO BOYS! I just thought they were easier to train and work with. But when we took in Gage, since he was a "rescue" and free, we had no control over the sex. Gage is absolutely wonderful! He has not really been bad to housebreak or train, he gets along good with Gabby, and is just so loveable. I think it's a matter of personal preference on if you get 2 of the same sex or one of each. We used to have 2 girls Lulu Bee and Pixie they were the best of friends:)
we never had any troubles with them they were little angles:)

but my mum has 2 girls and they are terrors , they do argue quite alot, so im not sure what to tell you , i guess it depends on their nature!

I have a boy and a girl and they are fine, it's funny but she dominates him instead of the other way around! heeh ee

I like having a male and a female. They are ma and pa yorkies. My male more favors my Husband and the female favors me. I am going to get another one and it will be female.

I think it is personal preference really.I have five dogs, 2 males and three females. The females all want to be alpha so you have to be somewhat careful of that. My male yorkie was the easiest of all of my dogs to housetrain and has been trained completely since he turned one. He is the most mellow but he still oves to play. He is not a bully and does not get jealous. My girls had jealousy issues for a while but have resolved them now. It took about 4 months to work it out.

I think once you choose your girl your heart will let you know when you found the perfect 2nd one regardless of gender. I wouldn't try to predetermine....adds pressure to it. Follow your heart :love:

I posted awhile back about "Two dogs better than one?" Alot of the feedback
seemed to be that since i already have a female, maybe a male would be a better choice for the second dog. It seems maybe two females can fight alot. I personally think that it just depends on the dogs personality. I agree with Julz, follow your heart. Sunday I will be getting my new little one (finally), and I decided on a male. So I'm sure I will be posting and letting everyone know how they are getting along.

So do I havea male and female that get along just fine. It is the 2 males and 2 females the confront each other and do not always get along. :D

Definitely just go with what you feel....have you picked them out yet or looked at any? Sometimes, it is best to look and see what personalities they have or the ones that make you laugh, so on....although, for me.....I would take them all! :)

i have 3 males and 4 females. They all get along just fine. I love my girls but BOBO steals my heart. :love: :lovewings :heart to and Harley and poobabie run close 2nds. Missy is my first female and i love her to death. Good luck with what ever you decide.

I would go find your Breeder, and pick the
two who steal your heart.
But watch out, you might just bring home

Nope! litter not expected til the end of the month...... I myself am hoping my wife will go along with a girl and a boy,we have already chose the little girls name Sara and if we get a little boy we are liking Theodore but my favorite is Napoleon....

We have two females that are 2 months apart in age...they are great together!! They love to wrestle and play together...they hate to be apart!! We got two girls because we just love females but there are several members who have one of each and they get along great as well!! I say you should just go with your heart!

They are all different. I have a female and if you held her you'd say "Oh, I definetly want a female!". Then if I pried her from you and gave you my male to hold you would say "Oh my gosh, I though I wanted a female, but now I want a male! Ohhhhh, I just don't know anymore!!!!" :D It will probably be determinee by how a particular puppy makes you feel :) We had company....the woman said "Oh, I want one, but is has to be JUST LIKE THIS ONE!"

I have a male Westie, Duffy and a female Yorkie, Jasmine, and now I am keeping my granddaughters male Yorkie, Murphy.
Duffy is high energy and very high maintenance. Always doing something he shouldn't, but we love his intelligence and he is very entertaining. Murphy is very laid back and the sweetest boy. Jasmine is somewhere in between. She can be very feisty and also be such a loving little sweetheart. She rules the roost at our house, even though she is much smaller than the boys. She really bosses them around and they back down. They all get along and play together great. They all want their share of attention. If one jumps up on the couch with me to get some loving, here comes the other two. Last night the boys were monopolizing my attention so Jasmine went to my husband and jumped up on his lap.
With 3 there is never a dull moment.
As the others have said, go with your heart. You'll know the right one. How could you not love them. I didn't pick Murphy out, but now that he is staying with us I have fallen in love with him. He is sooo sweet. It will be hard to give him back to my granddaughter, but I know it is breaking her heart to have to give him up right now.

I think it is personal preference. I have two girls that are half sisters and one month apart. They get along great...in fact when one is not around, the other one cries for her sister!!!

Personally, I am partial to my boys. I have 3 of them and 5 girls. A house Full of Love. Thumper was my first love and wil always be my favorite. Sadie is his daughter I got from litter pick. She is the most beautiful yorkie I've ever seen. She is my husbands favorite & the most spoiled. Jacque is my next favorite. He minds better than any of them. My males have displayed more loyal dispositions, but I really think it depends on the individual personality of the dog... And the "formative years"! My newest female Lacy is fast becoming one of my favorites though. She is a lap dog for sure. She watches every move I make & follows me everywhere I go. I know you will have countless pleasures from either. If I had to choose just 1 I don't think I could. It would be like trying to choose 1 of my children over the others. They are all distinct personalities and they all have some of the same yorkie characteristics

Either way if you raise them togther theya re gonna be great together. It just depends on there personalitys. If you buy a crazy yorkie don't pair her with a laid back baby. LOL Good luck!

Oh my I have exactly the same situations here....only add 2 more Yorkies and you have a melee...lolol Constnat entertainment.
I have one mischievious bad boy....name Bad to the Bone Bandit.....everything bad...who did it ? BANDIT boy lolol
He is the smartestof all and I love him to death no matter how many horrid things he does ! My Girls are better and more behaved but my Boys are so sweet....ahhhh it is the personality that counts..they are all just wonderful ! :thumbup: :thumbup:

Glad to know I'm not alone..My kids think I'm nuts. But they are all gown and gone so my dogs are my life now. My kids say they get better treatment than they did. I don't know about that. They make me laugh & smile every-day.

Ahahaha same thing here....so when they tell me I am nuts I just tell them "Thank you" I just love these Yorkie babies to death :thumbup:
