Do you let your dog chew on steak bones I was wondering if this should be done or not. Last couple of days, I’ve let Dexter chew on a t bone |
Years ago when I had two babies I did, well they didn't actually chew on the bone. I would leave a little meat on the T-bone, lay two rag mats on the floor, when they saw those mats come out they knew what was coming lol, my sweet girls. They laid on those rugs and stripped the meat off but I never let them chew on the bone. After finding YT I wonder how any of my dogs lived with what I feed them. All steaks have fat in it, tiny pieces we can't even see. Fatty foods can cause pancreatitis. Cody gets no table food other than plain boiled pasta, potato, carrots and other veggies and fruits. He gets no table meat at all, and no steak what so ever. |
I give chopped up carrots to Dexter all the time. I posted what veggies and fruits we could give our dogs and o wish I knew what it said again. Guess, I can look it up again |
Cooked bones are an absolute no. Those pieces will splinter and cause damage to the intestines and stomach. It’s really a disaster waiting to happen. |
