Low calorie treats Gidget has gained almost a pound in these last six months. I'm working on getting her back to her normal weight. We walk several times a day and I'm cutting back on treats which she isn't happy about. What are some good low cal treats I can give her so she'll still feel special. |
Jax is not at all food motivated, but he loves Zuke’s Mini Naturals. Especially the peanut butter flavor. They’re very small, only a few calories per treat. |
I was also thinking about frozen green beans -- 30 cal in 2/3 cup and 0 sugar. |
My pups love sweet potatoes. I bake and cut in little cubes. |
Thanks. Gidget LOVES sweet potatoes. I'll have to try your idea. |

Fruitables make what they call skinny treats. |

Petco has them...also Chewy and Amazon. I am sure others do... I like Fruitables, but honestly don't do a lot of store bought treats as they all can be fattening. Those are tiny... if you give only one that's fine but if you give more the calories add up. https://fruitablespet.com/dog-treats/skinny-minis |

I am also having a similar issue with Bella. She gained 4 pounds this past year. Vet wants her back down to 9 pounds. For treats - Bella thinks a piece of kibble is a treat. I give it to her sparingly so she is always happy to receive it. I also have Vet Prescription K/D Science Diet Treats. I get them on Chewy. I use them for Thumper as he also cannot have regular treats. I believe they are low in calorie and are used for a few of the Hill's Prescription Diets |
