Dog Scale Does anyone have any recommendations for a scale to check a dog's weight. Bella had her annual this past weekend and she gain 3 pounds over the year. She needs to go on a diet. I want to be able to monitor her weight at home and am looking into a scale I can buy |
Hi, I use a large precision kitchen scale to weight Mike :D I cover it with a piece of cloth and he sits in the middle of it. |

I love it. |
I use my digital bathroom scales. Weight the two of us together, then weight Gidget separately, deduct her weight from our combined weights. |
Should have said -- weigh us together, then weigh myself separately. Subtract my weight from our combined weight. |
Thanks all these are great suggestions |
This is the one I bought when I got Dixie. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1 it has been pretty spot on with the vets. |
I use my digital postal scale. It took a bit of reassuring (treats) for Lollie and Lacie to be ok with the process, but now when I put them on the scale they just sit and wait. |
Jax won’t sit still on a scale, so I use the “hold him while I weigh us together, then weigh myself separately and subtract” method. It’s not perfectly accurate, but it’s close enough under the circumstances (ie, not needing to monitor his weight closely for a medical reason). |
