Large Marge Ok, not that i care what size we end up with, I have to admit after the vets today, she is exactly 5pds. at 14 weeks. Now I cant figure out the puppy chart, but if im not mistaken shes off the charts... :D...The vet predicted a possible 8 to 10 pounder. So much for showing if shes over 8. No big deal, but i hope they have xxl sizes on yt. :animal36 |

Hee Hee, they do! Joy at furbabyboutique and Shana at tinkerbells closet can custom make you anything you want. :D As far as showing...the only sure fire way to get a good show potential is to find a show breeder who knows her stuff and her pups, and to wait until they are older before purchasing. Now there's nothing wrong with putting a deposit down on a hopeful, but I would want to make sure that's what I got as the prices are always going to be different for pet or show potential. Gosh...I am in the rambling mood tonight! Sorry :p |
I would guess about 9 lbs... |
Pitrpat - Your Yorkie and mine appear to be about the same size. Mine was 5 1/4 pounds at 16 weeks.... His mother was 12 pounds and his father weighed 4 1/2 pounds....go figure! (These two have had litters before - and I was told that their pups usually end up weighing about 6 pounds.) I haven't weighed my pup since - but he is a little over 5 months old now and I'm guessing he weighs 6 to 6 1/2 pounds. I'll find out when we go to the vet next week. My pup quickly turned silver and a light tan, has good-sized. erect ears, and is slender - he still has a puppy cut and is a very handsome little guy indeed. I hope he doesn't get a lot bigger - I think 6 or 7 pounds is a wonderful size. He is still a very small little dog - but a good healthy size and can hold his own very well. Carol Jean PS: People who haven't seen my dog since he was a tiny, fat, litte black and tan pup only a few months ago - can't believe it's the same dog. And they still think he is just adorable - which he is! |
I have 3.5 to 10 pounders. I think the 10 pound pups are much more huggable. They are about baby-size. They are harder to type over (when they are lying in your lap) but they can sit in your lap and kiss you without standing up! |
