How often do your bathe your little one other than when taken to the groomer?

Every two weeks. He sports a puppy cut so bath time is 1,2,3. Winter I blow him fully dry, summer it's a damp blow.

Every 7-10 days depending on how they look/smell and my time also.

Every 10 days during summer, and every 4-6 weeks for the rest of the year.
No extra baths for grooming because I groom him at home :)

My husband is in the laundry room as I am writing this wrestling with Tyrone.
He is incredibly afraid of water, and even at four only barely tolerates his bath. He also sports a beautiful coat, brushing the floor. We try to bathe him every ten days, or when he gets really smelly.

I bathe Gus, and he is fine...fully cooperative, and prances around once he is done to show off. His problem is his cottony coat. As soon as it gets past a certain point, he becomes a matted mess. He will be getting a short puppy cut trim this weekend. :D

We kinda fall inline with others here, about every 2 weeks. A wash and blow dry. Her coat is silky and sort of cottony, tangles easily. Have to brush her frequently.

Us too. Every 10ish days or 2 weeks. I do not blow dry. I like to leave it natural to air dry. I comb out then leave it until the next day. It's what I do with my own hair too. Less stress, better for hair.

LOl, I love the before and after photos, she's a lil beauty, is she a chocolate yorkie.

Generally every 2 weeks. Ollie gets miniature baths sometimes between because he enjoys the natural mud spa treatment and I’m not fond of it lol. I wipe everyone’s eye area, butts and privates every night before I put them in their nightgowns. Before getting dressed in the morning I also clear eye buggers.

I don’t blow dry either especially since by the time I’m done with the 4th one the 1st and 2nd are mostly dry lol

Thank you she is a pistol, full of herself. She shrinks to half her size when wet....soooo much hair, very thick. Takes me a good 45 min to an hour to wash and dry her. Then by the time I get her all nice spiffy her Samoyed bother (Sachi) decides it's time to break out the saliva tongue or she decides to stick her head in his mouth for a licking spree....arrrrgh.

She is the most beautiful chocolate yorkie I have seen, her hair coloring is simply beautiful. Many happy joyful years with this lil beauty.

She is a beauty! Tyrone is a chocolate parti...I love their sweet "liver" noses. Ty also has green eyes.

My youngest is a chocolate and I found it so interesting how his hair coloring has changed. I keep mine in a puppy cut but it’s still fun to watch the changes. He has thick but kind of cottony hair. Everyone loves his eyes but sometimes it is weird how different they are from standards. I always wanted a chocolate and after 3 pups told myself I was full and then a breeder posted about a larger 5 month old chocolate she could sell due to him being bigger and I feel in love.

12-15 DAYS is the right time to bath your yorkie if he has not been in mud or has been playing out too much.
Also please be sure of the shampoo you use to bathe, lot of shampoos carry lot of chemicals and are cheap versions of good shampoos.
Poor selection of shampoo with lot of chemicals can cause dry skin or skin allergy.

Aww how precious. Parti's are awesome. Love the coloring. Maybe someday. 1 big dog and 1 piece of dog is plenty for now. Lol

How large is your chocolate, Emmi runs between 6.75 - 7lbs but she looks so much larger because of all the hair. Don't know how you keep track of 4 of these little rascals.

One of my dogs went hypothermic after a bath so I make it a point to blow dry after bathing. Didn’t see that coming. I towel dried her then let her loose to have a rub on the rug while I bathed another dog. Thank God my son came home when he did. She ran to him and he picked her up and noticed she was shaking uncontrollably in his arms. This was Tinkerbell, my 15 pounder. She recovered after being blow dried in the bathroom with the door shut so the entire room warmed up. This happened in mid-summer.

I have an almost 13 year old who’s color has changed her whole life. Ollie my chocolate loves to roll in the grass and mud and even with a puppy cut it can be difficult to get all the mud and grass out of his hair. Ollie outweighed both his parents at 5 months old and is 15 pounds. I had to add a picture of all of them too lol. From the left is Callie 14 pounds and almost 13 years old, then Joey 14 pounds and 4 years old, then Penny 16 pounds and 3 years old and last the baby of the bunch Ollie 15 pounds and 2 years old.

Yikes. I have had mine shake when puppies but never had that issue. My boys dry so fast when I bathe all four they are pretty much dry by the time I’m done. They all dry them selves on the towels I put down then chase and bark at each other lol. I keep a pretty good eye on them though but it will definitely make me watch them closer.

Not cold, usually 82-85. My other dogs never had a problem running around after a bath. Never heard of it happening, so I wasn’t looking for it. Now I watch closely and bathe And dry one at a time.

My little guy will dash outside in the rain to jump around in the mud and chase a squirrel. He gets bathed then, no matter what. However, I try not to bathe him more frequently than 7-10 days. He sleeps in bed with Hubster and me, so I don't go longer than that.

He used to have troubles with dry skin, but I add 3 drops of fish oil to each meal and that has made a huge difference. No more dry skin!

I have used Petsilk shampoos and conditioners for years! I prefer the Clean scent!

I also really love PUCCI Cafe's shampoo and conditioner in the Cucumber Melon scent....their coats look great and they smell awesome! I just started using it this past year.

I use both depending on the pup I am bathing.

BOTH companies give to rescue which is very important to me!
