It's always something... In line with our commitment to a healthier lifestyle, and to help Ty & Gus get over losing their big brother Beau, we have tried to give them more long walks around the neighborhood. (At 13, Beau was not able to take many walks, especially in the heat, and it wasn't fair to leave him behind). Tonight we learned a new thing to worry about when you have tiny dogs...Gus leapt off the curb to cross the street...and almost rolled into the sewer drain! Thank goodness for his sturdy harness. He stood up, shook his head, looked around, then resumed his walk with an "I meant to do that" attitude, lol. :D |
They never cease to amaze us! Yes, those harnesses can be a life saver. We never know when something will catch their attention and off they go. You can probably laugh about it now but at the time it could have turned out differently. |

Oh goodness. Glad he is ok. One of the things I love about harnesses is if something like that happens or you have to snag them quickly that they are good for that. |
Gezzzz, that was a close call, who would think a storm drain could be a danger. These pups are so full of attitude you can laugh at them after a dangerous situation, they just brush it off lol. With my passed girls I cannot tell you how many times I had to yank them off the ground for safety. With Cody I had to do that one time when on a walk around my community. Someone opened their door and their pit bull came flying out, poor Cody went into panic mode when he was air bound. Thank god for harnesses. |
Whoo, scary. Glad all turned out okay. |
Yikes! Definitely glad it ended well! |
Wow, how scary. Glad that little Gus is safe! |
