Snake problem Does anyone know a safe way to keep black snakes away? We have had 2 within 24 hours on our back deck. We let birds build their nest under our little overhang over part of our back deck. Well the snakes want to eat the baby birds. I do not want to kill the snakes because they serve a great purpose but I don’t want them on my deck. I also don’t want the pups hurting them. Any ideas? |
My sister gets snake repellent from Lowe’s that is supposed to be pet safe. I don’t know the name of it but she says it works really well and she has used it for about 5 years. |
EEK!! Snakes are scary! I hope you find a solution. |

With all this rain we've been having frogs have taken over my deck, now I have to scan the deck before I let Cody out. I had a cousin that lived in Fl. he had a poodle that snapped up a small frog, it got logged in the dogs throat and he choked to death, I am always vigilant in the summer, this is the worse it's even been, thankfully snakes can't get on the deck, if it moves Cody is on it. |

One day I found a nice size frog in Matese's bed, I have a flap on my screen door where the dogs could go in and out. I'm standing there looking at this frog wondering how that frog made from the door alllll the way to the dogs bed. After chasing this thing and finally catching it, I bring it to the woods behind my house and set the lil fellow loose. Later that day I see Matese sniffing her bed, then flipping it over, and sniffing the entire area where her bed was kept, then I realized that lil rascal girl had bought that frog in and stashed it in her bed lol. How I miss my little hunter. |
