how do you say no to that face 4 Attachment(s) We have a problem, we cannot say no to Nelly. All she has to do is look at us with those little teddy bear eyes and we melt. It becoming a big problem because we have to feed Nelly from the table because the other dogs like to eat her dog food so we put it up there so Nelly can eat in peace, well now she thinks it is OK for her to eat with us now and cry for our food at the table, I have enclosed a few pictures of her at the table while we eat, how can you not give in and give her just a taste of what you have, does anyone else have this problem of giving them what they want and spoiling them. |
omg...I wouldn't be able to say no either!! You can't say no to such a precious face!! Good luck in develpping a back bone for this cutie!! |
i cant say no either... |
I would be in trouble too.....maybe try feeding her before you eat?! |

I know I will regret it if I start doing this habit . . . and yes, it really is so hard to say NO to their cute little faces so I have decided not to INDULGE from day one. He does sit right next to us often though so he is close to me. This is where he sits while me and my DH are eating . . . |
I know I have the same problem all mine have to do is to look at me with those big eyes and I give in. Mine are very spoiled too. |
In my house, it's my husband who is the softie. Me, I don't think a dog should ever be fed from the table. Hubbie slips Joey a tidbit every now and then. So, who do you think Joey bugs for the whole meal? (hint: it ain't me!) |
LOL Can't haelp you with this one. Princess has that same face. We all give in. If she wants it, it's hers. :D :D :D What's mine is hers, and what's her's is her's, that's the way it is around here! |
Nelly is so cute! That fist picture made me laugh. It looks like she's banging her head on the table becuase she can't get any food. :yelrotflm :yelrotflm :yelrotflm Leah |
AWWW! That last picture is my fav! :p |
Sorry cant help you on this one, we have the same problem. You cant refuse them! |
What a cutie patootie! :p :D ;) :) |
Awww...you just can't! :p |
Oh my gosh those pictures are too cute. If Trace knew actually sitting at the table worked....he'd be there :) |
yorkies are the hardest to say no to :aimeeyork |
I have the same problem with scrappydoo and if I do say no to him I grab him and pick him up and love him its thoes eyes that get you ,love the pics. :) |
Because yorkies are pack animals and you are their "pack" they want to eat with you, they are social also, which adds to them being right there with you at the table. Anyways, what I do is have dog food at the table, so I can give them a piece when they come to the table to "eat" with you.... they don't beg, they sit nice and wait for their piece, with the cutest little faces... since they can't see on top of the table, they don't know we are eating something different (at least I don't think so) It works for us anyways... |
We have strict feeding rules -- no food from the table whatsoever, even though it's nearly impossible to deny Sophie anything. She eats her breakfast around 10:00 am, gets a snack mid-afternoon, then eats her dinner at the same time that we eat dinner...but she eats her food (Wellness) not ours. We never gave her anything from the table from day one, and it has worked. She will beg us to play with her before dinnertime is over, but she has never begged for table food. |

She is adorable!! My girls get away with tons of things just because they will give us a little head tilt or a special little face and you just can't say no at all!! |
