Shady and deceiving? Have you spoken with Hill's and asked the story about what happened ... do you happen to know how much of that food went out and WHERE it went and whether or not they tracked it? Perhaps you should call them so that you have more than what people who have long bashed the company are saying...and more than your assumptions. I saw you bash Purina over and over years ago over treats. The problem with such things is that people will not feed foods that are GOOD for their pups based on things that may not be factual. People tend to believe whatever others say. I think we should all be careful about how and what we say and have FACTS before saying them. Not what people call "research" as reading things on the internet is not research in the way I define research. It is one thing to post links and let people read and learn, and yet another to openly bash without having full information. |

I have two pups on Hill's Ultra ZD. One has IBD and it has literally saved his life. The other has suspected IBD with some other issues. I have one on Hill's ID Low Fat ... she also is doing well because of that food! She used to have terrible bouts of bloody stools and was in ICU on one occasion. I do also use Urinary SO for one of my bladder pups. Oh, and I have one on Hill's UD .. he had bladder stones. Not one of the above pups have had ANY issues with Hill's RX foods. My healthy pups are doing well on Hill's Ideal Balance. |

Yeah I am not basing my opinions off the article posted in the OP. I actually saw in one of my IBD groups that someone noticed it on Hills website and posted screen shots as an FYI for anyone feeding those particular lots, prior to me even seeing the link Taylor shared. Most of these people FEED Hills and are *not* RX-food haters in any way. Their dogs lives depend on it. It's not in any way shape or form bashing them for no reason. There will always be cause for concern when a food (that is prescribed to make your sick dog better) you are feeding your pup is recalled. FDA did post an article back in March in regards to the initial recall. The first was January, followed by March and now May (where there has been no public statement by Hills). https://www.fda.gov/animal-veterinar...arieties-hills |

As for Purina....I remember it all very well. I believe at the time there were anecdotal reports and that is why it wasn't pulled. I really didn't follow it because I don't give treats and definitely not jerky. ICK I know someone who feeds their yorkie Beneful and the pup is 14 and doing well. I pet sit for them from time to time. It isn't what I would feed but he isn't sick. Is there some scientific research you know about that says that food is "making dogs sick" ?? |

If I was feeding their food, I'd definitely be giving them a call but I am not sure I'd expect the answer to be totally truthful. |
Y'all have a nice evening. LOL I can't do this any more. |
